Romancing With The Vampire [COMPLETED]

August 12th 2010 / 1 week and 3 days later, Thursday

Minas POV

Car park lot

The engine's soft hum filled the car as we drove, the city gliding past through the windows. I sat quietly, glancing over at Chanwoo every now and then. He had one hand on the steering wheel, the other resting on the gearshift, looking unusually tense. When he pulled into the café parking lot and shifted the car into park, he paused and looked at me.

"Do I look okay?", he asked, adjusting his collar slightly.

I smiled, tilting my head as I gave him a once-over.

"You look handsome".

He blinked, then grinned like a schoolboy.

"I do?".

I nodded.

"Definitely".

He chuckled under his breath, running a hand through his hair, then got out. I followed, the late afternoon sun casting a golden hue across the pavement as we made our way to the entrance.

Cafe

The bell above the door jingled softly as we stepped into the cosy little café. The smell of roasted coffee beans and baked pastries hugged the air.

"There she is", I said, spotting Aria at a corner table, already waiting with a drink in hand. I turned to Chanwoo.

"Aria, meet Chanwoo. Chanwoo, my friend Aria".

I noticed the way his gaze lingered on her for just a second longer than polite, and I smirked.

"I mean, there is a bit of an age gap between you two", I teased lightly.

"But nothing too big".

Chanwoo smiled, bowing his head politely.

"Your friend is pretty".

I nudged him with my elbow.

"Told you so".

He gave me a sheepish smile, then turned his full attention to Aria as she stood to greet him. I stepped back.

"Now you two enjoy your date", I said with a wink, before turning on my heel and walking away.

I found a small table near the back of the café and sat down, ordering a tea I wouldn't really drink just to keep the staff from questioning my long stay.

Hours slipped by and then heard footsteps approaching.

"Mina", Aria said, cheeks slightly flushed.

"He's awesome".

I smiled.
