(Y/N) was taking a long sip of his iced coffee when something pretty unexpected happened.
The Nakanos walked through the doors.
As (Y/N) choked on the coffee, Kasu said, "Oh, no way, the Nakanos."
What? H–How? This can't possibly be a coincidence.
Nino approached (Y/N) and squatted beside him. "Hey, (Y)."
And why is Nino sweet talking me? Something must have happened.
Something did happen.
Rewind a bit:
At his desk, (Y/N) stared at the calendar in his day planner.
Monday (today), tutoring the Quints.
Tuesday, a reservation at Tempura.
Wednesday, tutoring the Quints (again).
Friday, tutoring the Quints (again, again).
Saturday and Sunday, the weekend (which (Y/N) didn't want to book with anything).
Thursday was his only free night. He could just relax, cozy up and watch anime. Although, there was that science test on Friday...
As (Y/N) continued to stare at his calendar, someone snuck up to him from behind. Well, she tried to be sneaky as she crept up to him.
Behind him to the right, she tapped his left shoulder. He didn't fall for it and looked to his right.
"(Y/N)! You're no fun," she pouted.
"There are better times to play, Kasu."
"Ah, speaking of that, I had a request. You know that science test on Friday?"
"Yeah... What about it?"
Kasu inched closer to (Y/N) as more people filed into the class, returning from the between-class break.
"Any chance you would be available to do a little study session with me?"
(Y/N) squinted his eyes. "I thought you were good with it already?"
"Good with the topics? Yeah, but there's still one or two things that I'm not understanding. Would you like to help me sometime? Maybe go to a nearby café?"
"Hm..." (Y/N) looked at his calendar again. "Thursday is my only free day."
"Thursday, like this Thursday?"
"Yeah, this Thursday."
"That's perfect! I don't have anything, either."
"Alright, then sure, Thursday night. You pick the café and just let me know."
"Sounds good! Thanks, (Y/N)!" Kasu twirled around and went back to her seat.
[present-time (Y/N):] Could anything from that have leaked into the Nakanos' ears?
Oh, right, of course. They walked in while Kasu and I were still talking. I don't remember exactly when, but if it was after "Maybe go to a nearby café?", they must've heard us talking.
But even if they heard that we were meeting, why would they be here now?
[back to flashback]
"Alright, girls, gather round," Nino directed the other four. They were discussing at their apartment, since the last time they tried privately discussing something at their lunch table it ended up not being that private.
The girls arranged themselves in a circle, each leaning into the center for maximum secrecy.
"Itsuki, give us–"
