This episode: the fireworks festival!
Nino walked into a very specific building with a very specific intention.
The owner smiled to her. "Ah, Miss Nakano, welcome."
"Hey."
"I assume you're here regarding the upcoming festival?"
"Fair assumption. Yes, I am."
"Glad you came a bit early."
"Yeah, I hope early enough."
"About that..."
"?"
"Someone already placed the reservation of the roof for that night."
"Really??"
"Yes, really. I would not lie to you, Miss Nakano."
"Dang it."
"Sorry to break that news. Are you upset?"
"I am, I am very upset!" she pouted.
"Well... My apologies again, I can't do anything to help you, Miss Nakano."
"...Thank you anyway."
"My pleasure. Let me know if you'd like to rent it any other time."
"Of course. Bye." Nino left the building. She stomped her foot in anger.
"Why?!" she repeatedly yelled through clenched teeth.
Ally gasped. "Big Bubber, Nino-san's here!"
(Y/N) met eyes with Nino. "So she is. What're you doing here, Nino?"
Nino stammered, thinking of a lie to tell him. "I, um, I was just... I was checking out this store," she pointed to the building she just exited.
"The bookstore?"
"Y–Yeah."
(Y/N) played along. "Right. I never thought I would see you hold a book, let alone go to a bookstore."
"Ch–Change of heart."
"Temporary change of heart?"
"..."
"Hey, that bookstore is in the building you rented for the festival last year!"
"Is it? I d–didn't notice."
"Yeah, they're even setting up barriers in this area for the festival this weekend."
"..."
"Say, did you rent the rooftop again?"
"No, some bozo beat me to it..."
(Y/N) scoffed. "I'm offended."
"What? I didn't call you a bozo, I called the renter–"
"And I'm not the renter?"
"I hope not!"
"And if I am?"
"Why'd you rent it??"
"That's a secret," (Y/N) smiled.
Nino's mind went to the first thing it thought of. "I bet you're gonna take Akasuki there!"
(Y/N) shrugged and turned to leave. "You'll have to wait and see."
Ally waved. "Bye, Nino-san!"
Nino just stood there with a face of anger mixed with a pout. The past two (Y/N)–Akasuki incidents hadn't interefered with her directly, but this one was about to. This would be the second big disturbance to her sisters' festival traditions, their mother being the first. Thus, she felt this time she absolutely had to do something, and she hoped her sisters would feel the same.
