the doctor sighed, glancing at katsuki sitting up on the bed behind you and then back into your eyes with a serious look.
"since mr. bakugo has claimed he has been feeling perfectly fine since the last few days, we can allow him to discharge tomorrow,"
"really?" you mumbled turning back to face katsuki and he scoffed looking away.
"...yeah.." the doctor nodded.
"...that's...that's nice for sure.." you replied. "you can start signing the discharge papers," the doctor said and left.
you turned around to face katsuki. "feeling fine? no pain?" you asked. "no," he replied. "that's good," you nodded. "yeah," he nodded.
"so...you'll come right?" he asked. you sighed. "you're still stuck to it," you said. "i mean...if you want to...i'm not pressuring you into it," he replied. you lightly chuckled.
"yeah...i mean i want to attend it...with you," his heat fluttered at the thought of holding you again. it felt like a dream since it had been almost a year since your breakup.
"...but you...you won't be tired?" you questioned. "no, i'll just take all the rest right now," he huffed. you slowly nodded. "this presidential award thing is really important for you, hm?" you mumbled. he softly nodded.
yeah, it was important for him.
because he would get a chance to go to it with you.
"okay." you agreed. "but...i really didn't think the doctor would discharge you so early so now i barely have any time left to look for a dress," you sighed.
"i told you not worry about it. i got it arranged," he said pridefully, crossing his arms over his chest.
"what did you do sitting in this bed?" you asked challenging him.
katsuki just smirked, a knowing glint in his crimson eyes. "just trust me," he said, a hint of his old confidence returning.
you raised a skeptical eyebrow. "trust you? the same guy who was bleeding out in the parking lot a few days ago and said he was 'fine'?"
he clicked his tongue. "that was different. this is...me being resourceful."
you sighed, a small smile playing on your lips despite your skepticism. "resourceful from a hospital bed. i'd like to see that."
"you will," he said, his smirk widening. "just be ready by six tomorrow evening."
"six? katsuki, the ceremony is at seven. and i still don't have a dress," you pointed out, a touch of panic creeping into your voice.
