When Belphegor arrived at the hotel, Lucifer led her straight to Vaggie and Charlie’s room. She knocked on the door before entering. Charlie, her niece, was sitting in a chair right next to what looked like a sized up crib with eye bags. But inside the crib was what worried her. Charlie’s partner was curled up in nothing but a t-shirt and diaper, squeezing Charlie’s hand as she leaned over the trash can next to her crib.
“Aunt Belphegor! Thank you so much for coming. Vaggie’s been feeling very sick and I don't know what’s going on!” Charlie explained to her aunt, panicky.
“Well, tell me her symptoms,” The sloth ring ruler asked.
“Um, well, so far it's been really bad stomach cramps, vomiting, fever, and um..” She leans over to Belphegor, “messing,”
Charlie knew Vaggie would get super embarrassed if she told anyone about the accident she recently had but it was important to tell her if they were going to figure out what she had. Belphegor hummed and nodded, trying to quickly come to a conclusion. But as she was thinking, Vaggie started retching into the trash can again. Charlie immediately ran to her side and rubbed her back. Belphegor felt some sympathy for the girl. She looked like she was probably a Little and having to deal with what looked like a pretty bad case of food poisoning was likely really scary for her.
“Can you tell me what she last ate?” she asked.
“Um, well last night I believe she had chicken nuggets and some peas. This morning she had some toast but that's… out of her body now,” Charlie explained.
“She’s an angel, correct?”
“Mhm,”
Belphegor sighed, knowing what this possibly was.
“Angel’s like Vaggie and your father have very different immune systems and digestive systems. What likely happened is that there was a bacteria in the chicken nuggets that started attacking only an angel’s body. Now, from what I know, she’s been staying with you for 3 years now, right?”
Charlie nodded.
“Her body probably isn’t used to hell’s bacteria yet which is why it’s attacking her body. Sinner’s can automatically fight off any of the bad bacteria due to how the generate, but since she generated in heaven and has an angelic body, she has a harder time fighting off bad bacteria,” Belphegor explained. Charlie sighed in relief to find out that it wasn’t anything too serious. She had been so worried that it was something life threatening but it was just a case of food poisoning.
“Thank you, aunt Belphegor. What should we do to help her?” she asked.
“Lots of rest and fluids. Try to get her to eat something every now and then. Her body automatically takes in 50% of the nutrients if she ends up throwing up later. That’s better than her not eating anything. If her fever gets too high, come down to the sloth ring where I can look over her properly,” Belphegor told her
