Chapter 7: A depressing episode.

Start from the beginning

"Why does he keep running into trouble? I thought I was the troubled kid of the family!" She was very expressive with her hand movements. "It probably runs in the family," Miko concluded. "Probs. Who was he last seen with?" she asked. "Sierra." "I knew that girl was up to no good" (She actually does not have a clue. She just wants to look smart)

. . .

"Arcee to base! Jack somehow disappeared. I can feel a lot of energon activity in the building that was a hundred percent not there before," Arcee reports through the comms. "Base to Arcee, how strong is the energy signature?" asked the voice on the oyther line, Ratchet. Arcee took her time to watch the scanners carefully. "Stronger than Optimus', but not stronger than Megatron and Optimus' combined," said the femme. "No normal Cybertronian that is. Arcee, I will send backup. Stay where you are, and whatever you do, don't engange." The comm link cuts off. Arcee rolls her eyes, looking at Jane and Miko, "Remember the plan you both talked about?"

. . .

"Wilfire, you have to go with the rest. We need everybots' capabilities to handle that thing," said Ratchet. Wildfire rolls his eyes, sighing, "Not my problem." "Don't you realize how serious this is? Lives are threatened. What is wrong with you?" shouted Ratchet. "What isn't wrong with me?" replied Wildfire. "Oh I swear in the all spark I'll pound you into scraps if I have the chance to!" shouted the medic. "If," said Wildfire.

In Optimus' eyes, they're bickering like children which was shocking moreso because even Ratchet is even more mature than himself. "Ratchet, Wildfire, please settle down. We have lives to protect and fighting will not help. Wildfire, I am not one to remind someone of risks, knowing you already know them well. However, Jane's safety is also risked here. I know you care about her very much. I also believe that she isn't going to do anything noteworthy of being reckless," said Optimus. "She is very well going to do something stupid," said Wildfire. "It's her middle name." Optimus raises his optical ridges. He knew that Wildfire knew Jane like the back of his hand, but he seems to confident of his conclusion. It's as if this is a daily occurance for them every Tuesday which isn't surprising if it is considering their current status. He sighs, "Autobots, transform and roll out!"

. . .

Miko handles Jane's knife and cuts through the glass covering the emergency fire button detection thingy she doesn't know the name of. She presses it, causing the water sprays to work its job. The office where she and Jane are in is a bit too big for human standards but slightly too small for Cybertronian size. It felt eerie in some way. She doesn't know why but her gut tells her that something is wrong. Something has happened here, something terrifying.

Jane tests the microphone to the speakers before going on voice actor duty. Her voice took on a motherly edge with her voice softening incredibly, "May I have your attention. May I have your attention please. This is Sierra's mother speaking. There is a Code red. Code red. This is not a drill. I repeat, this is not a drill. Everyone shall proceed to the stairwell, walk down to the lobby and exit the building. Do not use the elevators! After you leave the building, please move away from the exits, and if possible, as far as you can. I repeat briefly, this is not a drill. Code red."

The announcment ended and the mic was turned off. "How did you do that?" asked Miko. "If you're always on the run from ninety nine percent of the government, it will come off as natural," said Jane, making sure the water sprays are working as intended to make it look more convincing. "Gosh, I'm jealous," whined the younger girl. "L bozo. Let's dip now. Our job's done here."

. . .

After everyone leaves the scene, Arcee could breath a sigh of relief. "Arcee to base, clear," she said shortly. The comm link buzzes as the voice on the other line speaks, "I hear you loud and clear Arcee. The team and unfortunately, Wildfire are already on their way." "Ratchet, you do realize that Wildfire is more trouble than he's worth right? I mean, you should know since you both fight like toddlers in Walmart every cycle and stuff," said Arcee. "As much as I agree on that, he needs to go. I would like to see him get deactivated if possible." "Gosh, that's dark, even for you."
