Jungkook sat quietly by the window, the soft hums of the airplane filling the space around him.
The clouds floated lazily outside, bathed in the golden light of the evening sun.
But his teary bambi eyes aren't really looking at the sky. They're somewhere else...
Back in Seoul.
Back at the airport.
Back with his Taehyung.
His chest ached silently as he leaned his head against cold windowpane.
He could still feel Taehyung's hug... warm, shaky, and full of emotions they both tried to hide behind soft smiles.
His fingers curled slightly in his lap.
"Did he see it yet?" Jungkook
thought.
"Did hyung open the box?"
"Did he read my letter?"
His heart thumped nervously.
He wanted to know everything.
He wanted to know if Taehyung smiled when he saw cute Fluffy.
Or did he cry?
Was he mad? Happy? Did he scold him thinking it must be his bunny prank for sending him away?
Jungkook bit his lower lip.
"I wish I could call him... just once," he mumbled under his breath. But he couldn't. He had promised.
Taehyung had forbidden him from calling until he returned, to let both of them focus on their new beginnings, even if it hurt.
Still, Jungkook couldn't help it. His thoughts were full of him. His Tae.
"Is he cuddling Fluffy now? Naming him? Smiling even just a little? For him or Me?"
He closed his eyes, a small smile forming on his lips.
"I hope you liked it, hyung... I hope you felt me there, in that little fur ball," he whispered.
Because that puppy wasn't just a gift. It was a piece of Jungkook's heart.
His love, packed in fluff and warmth. His way of saying, You'll never be alone, even when I'm not around.
The announcement about their descent broke his thoughts for a moment, but his heart stayed behind.
"Wait for me, hyung," he whispered to the sky outside the window, "Just like I'll be waiting... to come back home to you."
And with that, he smiled faintly, imagining Taehyung asleep on the couch, Fluffy curled on his chest, both safe... both waiting.
