It was Sunday, the day before the test was due to start at the end of the week.

I went to the city library to make a final push.

So far, I've been able to study better than ever with the help of Ayame san and Hinayo, as well as teaching Riria as I review for the test.

If all goes well, I may be able to achieve the highest ranking in my history.

Seeing the noisy exchange between Riria and me, Hinayo, the supervisor who came along with us, said something like that with trepidation.

I don't know whether Riria and Hinayo are on good terms or not, but the fact that they both accept each other so easily makes me think that it's going well.

Riria took out a piece of paper from her bag.

The regular school tests are made by teachers and staff.

Unless the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology is being mean, the pace at which lessons progress-that is, the scope of tests-will be the same every year.

So making connections with seniors and getting past year's questions is a very efficient way to study for the test.

For people like me and Hinayo, who are not in any club and don't have many friends, but can study well, it is such a hassle that it would be faster to study straightforwardly.

However, Riria easily manages to do so.

She has many silly points, but I think she should be praised for her ability to communicate and take action.

"Anyway, I've got three years' worth of all the major subjects, so I'll give it a shot !"

So, I decided to choose questions that I thought would help Riria avoid a red mark and set up a target.

As we read through the questions, Hinayo and I started to get a feel for the trends, which wasn't bad for study efficiency.

I wish I had worked on it earlier, but I'll do it from the next test.

"That's true. I think I can get around 40 points in every subject, so I don't think there's any chance that Sotogahama san will end up failing in this test."

The library's closing time was approaching, and we started to clean up.

Just as we were putting away our notebooks and pens and pencils in our bags, we heard a man's voice that we had heard somewhere before.

The voice belonged to Hinayo's childhood friend, Misawa.

Apparently he was at the library too.
