The door was closed, but the silence was deafening. Mina sat at the edge of her bed while Jaehyun stood against the wall, eyes screaming guilt. 

Mina thought she would be screaming, she thought she would be angry. But she knew that the other four outside would try to listen in. And worst of all... she only felt hurt.

Jaehyun: Mina... let me explain-

Mina: You don't have to Jaehyun... I understand... Your loyalty to your gang was on the line... I'm just your rival-

Jaehyun: Don't say that. 

He dropped to his knees in front of her, holding her hands in his as he shook his head.

Jaehyun: You are not just a rival. You know that. I wouldn't tell you that I started loving you, if you were just my rival.

Mina: Then... why didn't you tell me?

Jaehyun sighed, his hands holding hers tightly, as if worried that if he let go, then she would be gone.

Jaehyun: Daeri... I don't want to disappoint Daeri. She's the only family member who loves me... I couldn't-

Mina: Does she know?

Jaehyun: What?

Mina: Does she know everything?

Jaehyun: No... not everything.

Mina sighed, her hand reaching out to cup his cheek that he leaned into it, eyes never leaving hers.

Mina: We should gather everyone. Tell them what happened.

Jaehyun: You think that will work?

Mina gently nodded, leaning forward to lean her head against his shoulder as his hand circled her waist, holding it close.

Mina: Mark is not even mad at you. He knows your father isn't all unicorns and rainbows... so telling everyone can resolve any remaining tension. Hopefully. 

She lifted her head, eyes on him, face closer this time. He nodded as she smiled a little.

Jaehyun: You're not mad?

Mina: Just... hurt.

Jaehyun: I'm sorry. Really, sorry. I wanted to tell you in Jeju itself but... 

Mina: It's okay, Jae... let's just not keep anything else from each other, okay?

He nodded lightly as she did the same. 

Jaehyun: Do you need a breather?

Mina: Yes please. Desperately. 

Jaehyun: Should we go for a walk? Do you want to take Eunbi along?

Mina shook her head.

Mina: She's too curious and she will ask. I can't break in front of her too.
