Student Council Room - Late Afternoon
The student council room buzzed with light conversation, the clatter of laptops, and the occasional sound of pens scribbling on paper.
As always, the room held a sense of order, mirroring the personality of its president, Giyuu.
He sat at the head of the table, straight-backed and unreadable, surrounded by council members sorting out tasks for the upcoming school festival.
At his side sat Ayame, a second-year member with a reputation for being a little too flirty and a little too persistent.
"So, Giyuu-senpai~"
She said, leaning a little too close
"I was thinking... maybe we could go over the layout plan tonight? Just the two of us?"
Giyuu didn't even blink.
"It's already finalized. You were CC'd in the email."
"Oh, right..."
Ayame laughed softly, brushing imaginary dust off her sleeve.
"Still, I thought maybe we could just... you know, talk? You seem so serious all the time. I think it'd be nice to relax together."
Giyuu kept his eyes on the page in front of him.
"I'm busy."
Ayame blinked, caught off-guard.
Then-
The door slid open.
In stepped Shinobu, holding a small stack of documents and wearing a neatly pleasant smile.
She gave a polite bow to the council members.
"Sorry to interrupt. Mr. Gyomei asked me to drop off these forms for club confirmations"
She said, walking over and placing them on the side table.
"Thank you"
One of the secretaries said, smiling.
Shinobu nodded and was about to leave when-
"So you don't like spending time with girls?"
Ayame pressed, her voice almost teasing.
Shinobu paused just a step from the door, her back to them, the faintest smirk pulling at her lips.
Giyuu didn't lift his head.
"I don't like wasting time."
The room went silent. You could hear Ayame's ego deflate like a balloon in the corner.
Shinobu's eyes twitched with amusement.
"Anyway"
Giyuu continued, now flipping to a new page
"Let's stay on track. Budget for the booths is still unconfirmed."
Shinobu took that as her cue to leave. As the door slid shut behind her, she finally let her smirk grow into a soft laugh.
Outside, in the hallway, she whispered to herself
"He hasn't changed a bit."
She walked off, the stack of remaining papers tucked under her arm, her mind already spinning with mischief for the rest of the week.
The moment Shinobu stepped out of the student council room, her expression still faintly smug from overhearing Giyuu's
'I don't like wasting time' moment, a familiar voice called out to her.
