Matt was sitting at the bar at the Mystic Grill when he suddenly got a phone call, which he quickly answered.

"Hello?"

"Matt? I need help..."

"Rayna?"

"You're the only person that I trust."

"You put Stefan back in the Stone?"

"Yes, but--"

"Then we have nothing to talk about. I did my part. I'm out."

"You don't understand! Those bitches destroyed the Stone! He's free. They're all free."

"Wait... what are you talking about? Rayna? What do you mean, 'free'?"

Samara suddenly appeared behind Rayna and grabbed her in a headlock.

"Well? Go ahead and answer him. What do you mean, 'free'?"

Rayna gasped for breath due to the strength of her choke-hold and dropped the phone.

"I can hear them. All the voices..."

Samara kept her hand around Rayna's neck, but spun her around so she could face her, the tip of a knife suddenly pressed to the huntress' throat.

"What are you talking about?" Samara demanded.

"They're coming from everywhere." Rayna whispered, dazed. "When you destroyed the Phoenix Stone, all the souls inside escaped. Scattered. And I can hear them. Alive. Every one of them."

"You're saying that every vampire you ever killed with that sword is now wandering the earth?" Samara muttered, horrified.

"I burned all their original bodies, which means the Stone's prisoners are in random corpses. Vampire, human... it doesn't matter." Rayna sighed. "The spirits fled, scatter-shot into the first dead piece of flesh they could find."

"I don't give a damn about a bunch of old vampire souls!" Samara exclaimed. "Where did Stefan end up?"

"He could be anywhere." Rayna revealed. "He could be anyone."

Alaric was in his kitchen, where he was watching the news on the television.

"Turning now to a breaking news story. Reports coming in of an accident on Route 70, near Glenwood, Arkansas involving a Dallas student charter bus. At least four dead, with more injured."

"Hey." Rosalie suddenly walked in. "I came back to get more drinks. Scarlett and Caroline are still with Octavia, Jaylen, Lizzie, and Josie at the park."

"Oh, sure. I have some fruit shoots, and some water for you guys." Alaric announced, pulling drinks out of the cupboard and placing them on the counter. "Are the kids having fun?"

"Tons." Rosalie nodded, placing the drinks into her bag. "Via and Josie were busy on the swings when I left, while Jay and Lizzie were playing tag."

"It's nice that Lizzie and Josie have kids their own age to play with, especially kids that they don't need to hide their siphoning from." Alaric smiled. "The girls get to be themselves around your kids."

"Same here. And my kids absolutely adore yours." Rosalie grinned. "I better get back. It's a warm day, they're gonna be dehydrated. We'll be back in an hour or two." So, Rosalie headed to the door, but as she swung it open, she frowned when she saw Samara and an unconscious Rayna on the front step. "Ric? You have visitors."
