Sometimes I feel bad for keeping her in this cage, but I needed a friend to keep me sane, and what could be better than a bird that can be caged like you?

I didn't want to, but I don't know what came over me that made me agree. This is the reason why I have it here in this cage.
He immediately called someone, and within half an hour, she was captured and placed in a beautiful cage. I felt bad, but I did not do anything to stop this cruelty either.
I can sense her desire for freedom, but I have the same too. I wish we could both be free one day.
Suddenly, a familiar cologne enveloped me, and I sensed his presence before he could make himself known. Lorcan placed his hands on my shoulders and kissed the top of my head. My body became stiff and I straightened up.
Why is he home early today? Today, Lorcan is home early because he usually comes back when the darkness has spread around. I don't say anything and continue to sit like a statue.
"Why do you keep watching it all day, gealach? This bird seems to be getting more of your attention." He asked playfully, but I know he is serious. He doesn't like it when anything other than him becomes the centre of my attention. (Moonlight)
I looked at the bird and truly asked myself, why do I keep looking at it all the time? What is so special about this bird? My mind quickly answered the question.
"Because it is just like me. You trapped me in this mansion, and I trapped her in this cage." I answered Lorcan while looking at the bird. We both have a big beautiful cage.

Lorcan chuckled at this. "When did you start comparing yourself to birds?" Saying this, he removed his hands and sat across from me.
"You cannot leave the property alone, Inez. It's not safe." The way he said it made me feel like I was a stubborn kid who was crying for something bad for my health.
