Niall sat down with Harry and decided to go through all the bills with him. It seemed like a very normal afternoon for the two, but Harry seemed to have other plans from the seems of it.
"Niall, you know how you told me about the old man you really liked?"
Niall blinked, confused.
"That guy who lived a couple blocks away, Mr Pickles was it?" And Niall nods, clearly remembering the old man with no natural teeth, "I love you, and I guess, I know that man isn't really the right person to call your second dad, if you know what I mean,"
"What?" Niall asked, dumbfounded. "But he's like a father to me! I've known him for so long!"
"This is completely out of the blue I know, but Niall, always keep this in mind: If someone criticises you in your first conversation, you turn around, and walk away from them," Harry said, leaving Niall completely dumbfounded and confused
-
Niall sculled down another shot as it was passed to him. He knew it wasn't a good thing to be drinking again, based on the circumstances that occurred the last time he had a round with his friends.
Of course he had given Joe and Caspar, the two lads who accompanied him to the hotel, an earful about leaving him in the hotel alone but both had stories to accompany their reasons, which Niall wasn't bothered on caring about, or even listening to, so while they had talked on and on, he just played a card game with one of his close friends, Audrey. But unfortunately, she seemed very anxious or more likely nervous, so that hasn't gone very well either and she left after a while, leaving him all alone yet again.
After a while, he decided he would really stop drinking although his very sober friend Ed, would take him back, but he thought not be too much of a handful for the poor ginger bloke who was at the restroom. He set down his drink and got up from the crowded couch, letting his spot be easily taken and not really bothering or caring about it. Instead, he went ahead and leaned against a decent clean looking brick wall instead.
What Niall hadn't noticed, was beside him stood a very anxious young woman who constantly chewed on her nails. Her nail polish was chipped and she seemed to be in a sort of frenzy, anticipating to leave, yet glued to her place. Niall turned to her after a while, also making a quite a massive mistake, and deciding he felt quite bad for the lady even though he didn't know what was wrong.
"What's up?" He asked her, shaking his head a bit to clear off his slightly fuzzy and drunken mind, "You seem anxious,"
She looked at him and back down after the gingerly made glance, yet she decided she would tell him because of her very trusting attitude which really hadn't worked well for her over her course of a mere twenty years, "I'm sorry, do I look bad, I probably look bad," she started off, speaking very fast and Niall had to listen very carefully to keep up. In the course of her complaining, all he understood was when she screamed "That woman's going to kill me!" Very loudly.
She kept on whining about a woman, who Niall understood from her constant ranting to be her mother. Another thing he caught was the fact that she apparently had a boyfriend who ditched her and her mother had decided to come meet him. She told him that she couldn't tell her mother that he ditched her for she would've caused a chaos and told her that she was right about the bloke which he learned to have the same of 'Zayn'.
Niall thought she was ridiculous and continuously asked himself why he had even turned towards the girl, but all in all, he was a very nice person and decided to help her by trying to calm her nerves. But that just made everything worse.
