High School
How you dreaded the awful place....
However, you loved it so, for it was the only constant you had in your life.
For now anyways.
Your parents were always going away, it seemed, and they would leave you to continue school and such while staying with your older sister. She, however, had a family of her own to attend to, so she wasn't much of a constant in your life either.
Your schooling was truly the only constant you had.
No wonder you excelled at it.
Everyday was the same, you got on the bus, rode to school, went to all your classes, either rode the bus or walked home, did your homework and studied, ate dinner, showered, slept, woke up, and repeated.
To be quite honest, it was as boring as boring will ever get,
But it was constant.
And you were okay with constantly boring.
You were grabbing books from your locker before heading to your last class of the day. You felt somewhat relieved, seeing as though it was Friday, and you were ready to put your stressing mind at ease for a little while before it all started over again.
You turn to head down the hall, but before you can take two steps in that direction, you don't notice that the locker next to yours had been opened, and you walk straight into a hard shoulder, dropping the books in your arms and landing you on your rear.
"Oh hey, man sorry about that, didn't mean to get all up in your biznasty way. You alright?" The hard-shouldered person asks as he bends to help you with your books. You look up to see platinum blonde hair and some cool shades, realizing suddenly that you had bumped into Dave Strider. After a moment, the thought registers to you that he is talking to you, and quickly try to recover your books from him.
"I'm sorry... I'm alright, I really should have been looking where I was walking.." you say shyly as you start to take your books from him. He only shrugs and offers you his hand to stand back up.
"Nah it's cool. I normally don't come to my locker so I guess you just weren't expecting me to be here," he says as he pulls you up easily. He sure is strong. "Anyway, I'm Dave, and sorry about the locker shenanigans," he says as he puts his hands in his jeans, relaxing a little.
"What's there to be sorry for? I'm the clumsy one who wasn't paying attention," you say as you shift your books a little. "Anyway, it was nice talking to you Dave, but I have to get to class before I'm late!" You give him a small wave before you start walking away. He gives you a small smirk and waves back, before going back to his business in his locker.
~~~~~~~~Le Time Skip~~~~~~~~
You breathe a sigh of relief. Your last class was finally over and now you can go home and relax. You gather your books and head back to your locker, putting them away and closing it, all your homework for the weekend already done and taken care of. As you close your locker, you see Dave standing there once more, leaning against the door of his.
