I take a breath as I smile at the crowd and fix my guitar strap. "How did you guys like the opening act tonight, Ed Sheeran?!" I hold my red sparkly microphone out to the crowd to capture their screams, "Well I bet if you scream loud enough maybe he'll come out to sing a song with me!" Their screams echo through the walls as Ed comes up the steps on the small stage at the other end of the arena.
I smile at him and try to hide my blush when his red hair and green eyes approach me. Like every night of the tour we embrace each other in a small hug and he kisses me slightly on the cheek, which makes me heart jump out of my chest. Ed and I could never be anything but friends though, it would complicate our whole entire relationship if we ended up breaking up, so it's better to leave it the way it is. Plus he would never even consider us being anything but friends.
Ed smiles over at me, "Are you ready?"
I start the beginning chords for Everything Has Changed and soon enough I'm singing the opening lines. Occasionally I'll take a glance at Ed and then back to the pitch black crowd. I see a couple of light up signs that I know probably took them a lot of time to make, and right below me I hear the screams of fans echoing my name, their voices would be gone by the end of the night.
This is my favorite part of the concert, when I get to sing a couple songs acoustically for the people at the back of the arena so they don't have to rely on the big screen the whole concert.
"All my walls are tall painted blue but I'll take them down, take them down and open up the door for you," Ed sings.
"And all I feel in my stomach is butterflies, the beautiful kind, making up a lost time, taking flight making me feel like..." I sing into the mic with true meaning, this is how I feel every night when Ed comes up to my room after the concert and we either talk for hours or watch a movie.
Before we know it the songs over and I give one last hug to Ed as he waves to the crowd and makes his way back down the stairs. I feel a little bit of my heart leaving me but then I look back at the sparkly crowd and it fills up again. I love being on tour.

"You were amazing tonight! I am so proud of you!" My mom, Andrea, tells me as she engulfs me into a huge hug. She's at the tour every night just to congratulate me at the end of the concert. I take another gulp of my water as I make my way back to the dressing room. I pass more people telling me "good show" and "you are awesome at what you do." I may get these compliments all the time but it still makes me so happy to hear, and it never fails to boost up my confidences. I enter my dressing room and change into a cute little dress for Club Red, my after party for a couple of fans that were selected during the show. I fix up my make-up, winging out my eyeliner a little more and putting some powder on my forehead to make it look like I wasn't just on stage for two hours. I always make sure I look the best I can for Club Red, and that may mean taking 20 minutes to work on my eyeshadow. Since the pictures I take with the fans will be the photos they look back on all the time it's majorly important that I look my best.
I hear a slight knock on my door, knowing that it's Ed coming to tell me that he'll be making his way down to the room I tell him, "Okay, I'm right behind you!" But then the door opens with slight hesitation and I turn around to see who it is. To my avail it wasn't a max murder, but it was an ex-boyfriend...
"Hey Taylor," he says.
"Hey," I reply back, not really sure what to say. I haven't seen him in a while and I have no idea why he would come to one of my shows, nor did I even know he was coming tonight.
