"Olivia what ever you do don't run. Stay still and don't move no matter what. Mike, Alex and I will make our way towards you-"

"Group three you will not. You will stay where you are and wait for us to come to you, we will then look for group two"

"No offense or anything but this is not the time to be ordering us around. There is still stuff you don't understand. Olivia just stay still and don't move we are coming". Before Steven could say anything I turned down the sound and prosed towards the west side of the mines. Mike grabbed my arm,

"Hold on I want to make a torch so that if we need to we can fire these mother fuckers up" he starts to grabs a stick and undoes his backpack so that he could grab a piece of cloth. Constructing the torch he grabs his lighter and soon enough we have better light.

"All right now let's head for Olivia's group. Hopefully it didn't get them" he start to walk but Alex pipes up

"What do you mean 'it' might have gotten them" we kept walking not paying him any attention. We took a few more steps before Alex forcefully grabbed my arm and spun me around.

"Stop and tell me what the hell is going on" I tried to rip my arm away from him but he had too tight of a grip for me to get out of.

"Let go of me. Like the others said there's something down here. Now if you want to get out of here alive let me go", he didn't loosen his grip he just stared at me with frustrated eyes. Mike come over and shoved him away, he let go and I rubbed my arm, I'm pretty sure that it'll bruise but whatever right now we need to get to Olivia's group.

"Don't touch her again do you hear me" Mike was in Alex's face, we couldn't afford for this right now so I just grabbed Mike and walked away.

"Alright so when we get there don't forget that we don't know how many Wendigo's are there" Mike just nodded and we kept walking.

We neared the west side of the mines, when we came closer we saw blood everywhere and two bodies. One of them had no head and looked exactly like.. no way, shit. The old guy who tried to help the twins. The guy was decapitated but it wasn't a clean cut like with a knife or something, it was more like it was gnawed off; the other body was a few more feet away and I walked close towards it and the body was easy enough to identify even with all the blood coming from her. Rachel. Crap I walked back to where Mike was looking around the scene just in case there was still something lurking and Alex walked up to the decapitated man and was inspecting him. I heard a rock being kicked and turned around to where I saw two figures, they stopped moving and just stayed in the shadows.

"Olivia? Derek?" I slowly walked towards them and saw that they were covered in blood. Olivia had Derek's arm slung over her shoulders and was assisting him with walking.

"Y/n, I need help I can't hold Derek up much longer" I quickly walked towards them and took Derek's other arm and shifted the weight between us. Derek looked like shit, mud mixed with blood covered him head to toe and his foot was clearly snapped from the odd angle it was at, where as Olivia only had mud on her.

"What happened?"

"We thought it was a human. He looked human from the back but when he turned around he was.. he was not normal". We walked towards a big rock and help Derek sit on it. Olivia just kept pacing between where Mike and Alex were and Derek and I.

"You know Y/n I feel like I've been cheated he didn't even buy me dinner first" I smiled at him and bent down so that he didn't have to crane his neck.

"Derek what exactly happened?"

"We were just searching and we had stumbled upon this scene but when we got here a guy was eating the guys face. I mean come on, you weren't born in a born at least wipe your face or use utensils"

"Derek quite joking, what did this guy look like?", something in my knew that I didn't want to know the answer just I just needed to.

"He had black hair or really dark brown hair and green eyes. He was wearing overalls or something like that. We thought he needed help cause your friends said that there was something down here. We just thought it was another survivor but he wasn't human". With that statement my head started spinning and I felt too light, I looked over to Mike and saw that he was walking over to us.

"I'll just be right back" I walked towards Mike and with every step I couldn't feel my legs more and more.

"Y/n? what's wrong? You seem like you've seen a ghost"

"Mike. I.. I think I know what happened to Josh..."

"What do you mean? We all seen him die.."

"No. That's the thing, I don't think Josh died. I think that cause you all thought he was dead that he did was Hanna did and was starving so he started to eat the guy that tried to help the twins so that he could survive"

"Fuck. Shit" He puts his hand over his mouth and is trying to process it.

"We need to find the others and get them out of here. Hopefully since Josh was only here for a few weeks he hasn't gone full Wendigo"

"How do you know if he's not already full Wendigo?" I was just about to give him a disappointed look when he sighs and says,

"Alright. Let's find the others, get them out and find Josh. Alright?" I look around and walk the others

"Okay-"

"Mind telling me now what the FUCK is going on?" Alex says.

"Not now. Right now we need to get everyone out. We'll explain on the way out" Alex doesn't like that answer and pulls out his gun and aims it at Mike

"No you will tell me know. Do you understand me?" I step in front of Mike and Mike tries to push me back but I don't let him.

"There's something called the Wendigo. It strives from the Indigenous people, usually comes from the horse men Famine. Cannibalism for short. Indigenous people believed that if a person is starving till the point of death and decides to resort to cannibalism they will be cursed with becoming a Wendigo-"

Alex doesn't like that answer and comes closer so the gun is now a centimeter away from my heart.

"That's a load of bullshit! Tell me what's really going on here" I didn't back down

"You didn't let me finish. Josh my boyfriend played a joke on us and was soon captured by Hanna his sister who was one of the twins that went missing a year ago. We tried to get him back but when we were about to blow up the house with the Wendigo's one of them took Josh. The others thought he was dead but I knew that he wasn't" Alex started laughing and put his gun down

"You're crazy. There is no such thing as a stupid Wendigo"

I looked up at Mike and got irritated. Alex stopped laughing and came over to me,

"You expect me to believe this? Yeah right. You probably just snapped after your boyfriend died"

"Stop being such a cocky asshole and just listen to me. We're trying to save you guys-". With that Alex hit me over the head with his gun, but he didn't give enough force to knock me out.

"Y/n!" Mike caught me when all of a sudden we heard the loudest unhuman screech coming from just beside us.

Mike helped me up and I grabbed Olivia and headed for Derek. Mike bent down so that Derek could get on Mike's back and we all headed for a hiding spot. Alex looking a little less sceptical walked close behind us. Alex grabbed my arm and pulled me back,

"You stupid bitch why didn't you tell the whole group before?" he raised his hand to hit me and swung his hand. As I put both of my hands up to shield my face something raced towards his and lightly pushed me back and grabbed Alex. The next thing I heard was Alex being shoved on the ground and him grunting in pain.

The figure finally came into focus and I knew exactly who it was,

"Josh" he didn't turn around but straightened up his posture and slowed down his breathing

"Hey Y/n"
