Part 7

"Where's the ointment?" he asked.

Under the sink there's a first aid kit." I said.

He found it and put it on. It hurt, too!! He blew on it gently, and that's when I realized. He really did care, he wasn't going to hurt us, so far he had everything to help us. He was going to be a good dad and husband or at least something like that. He had already become part of the family, without even trying. I had let him into the family, without knowing it. The kids certainly let him be their dad, without any questions.

"I'm cooking now. You already did enough." he said.

"But I wanted to make it for the kids." I said.

"I know, sorry, but I'm not letting you cook." he said.

"Please!!! It'll only be this one time!!! I just wanted to do something special for them!!" I begged Nathan.

It looked like his resolved weakened a little bit. I did something I'd never done, and I didn't know it would work or not but I gave it a try anyway.

I pulled out the puppy dog eyes. His looked like he was having a really hard time keeping his resolve.

"Please, Nathan, Please." I said, cutely.

"Ok, fine!" he gave in.

"Yay!" I hugged him.

I went back to working and Nathan went back to watching me. This time, though, he had the same unidentifiable look in his eyes. I wonder what that emotion was!!!! His eyes were very dark, almost black again, but he wasn't angry this time.

He came over, and stood behind me as I made some spaghetti. I was waiting for the water to boil. He was standing so close, my back, which was bare, was pressed against his chest, and I could feel his 8 pack through his tuxedo like outfit. Why had Clara made these clothes so thin?!

"Nathan?" I asked, my voice sounding weird.

His lips were at my right ear, as his arms wrapped around my waist and rested them on my stomach.

"Mmmm." he said, or mumbled, right at my ear.

He put his lips on my shoulder, which was also bare. His lips sent shocks through my body. His lips went from the tip of my shoulder to the beginning of my jaw, near my ear. I gasped at feel of his lips moving on my skin. He kept moving his lips along my neck and shoulder. My eyes closed, as I enjoyed the feel of it.

My eyes snapped open when I realized what was happening and what I was doing. I felt like I'd done something wrong. This wasn't supposed to be happening!!!

I pulled away from Nathan and he realized what he just did. We stared at each other, shocked.

"Alice, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to—"

Nathan tried to take back what he'd done.

"J-just f-forget it." I stuttered out.

His affect on me hadn't worn of yet!! Ugh!! I feel like a fool for letting him to that to me!!! I mean, I did nothing as he made me vulnerable again!!!

"Alice, I'm-I'm—" Nathan tried again.

"It's fine, seriously. Just forget it." I said, turning back to the spaghetti.

I finished cooking in silence, as Nathan continued to watch. We were done in a little while, and my cell rang. We don't have a home phone, I just use my cell. It's Clara.

"Hey." I answered.

"The kids are changing. I'll call back when they're walking home." Clara said.
