How She Feels

I'm not beautiful. My body is not skinny like the other girls, when I sit my tummy comes out a little and I have love-handles. I don't wear makeup, I'm quite short and I believe that I have more hair on my body than an average girl. Yet Oli always calls me beautiful when I call him up. He is a sweet guy.

"Come on Mia!" Oli yells at me as I run down stairs outside of my apartment.

I yell back at Oli, "Oh for fucksake, Oli! I'm coming!" I swear this boy will be the death of my patience. "I had to get my shoes on."

Oli reaches into his backpack and brings out a camera, "Here, can you hold this for a sec?" He hands me the camera. He zips up his pack and I give him his camera back.

I shove my gloved hands into my coat, "When we get to Joe and Caspar's when will we leave?"

"Uh, I don't know. Maybe around one or two? They didn't make it clear." Oli and I walk down the sidewalk while making sure not to slip on any ice. Oli then turns on his camera and starts to film random things.

I smile and give out a sigh, " You really do love your new camera don't you." 

Oli doesn't seem to hear me but I don't dare repeat what I said. He looks so happy as he films a flower that reaches out of a wood gate from someones garden. There is silence as we walk and Oli films everything he sees, including the remaining frost on cars and plants. But after a while Oli breaks the silence.

"So, what do you think Joe and Caspar have planned for us?" Oli asks as he puts away his camera back into his backpack.

"Probably something you guys will regret putting on YouTube later." I smile to Oli

He chuckles, "Oh come on, you have to be in this one! Please! It is fun with Joe and Caspar but it will definitely be more fun with you in it too. Plus my fans will love you!" He begs with his puppy dog eyes.

I let out a small sigh, "I don't know. YOU don't even know what you'll be doing in both their videos. And I don't think I'm ready to be judged on a video that I did with you guys..." I begin to trail off my sentence.

"Well, can you please give it a thought at least?" I really don't want to be all over the internet, and the comments I know will be all directed towards me. I can see them now, all negative. They will all want to kill me.

I try to hide my fear, "Yes, I'll definitely give it some thought." Before Oli could comment back to me we reach the boys' home. We go inside and knock on their door. The door opens in seconds.

"Hey guys!" Joe screams with his arms out. Oli and I say hello in unison and hug Joe. We go inside with a warm greeting. I absolutely enjoy being here, so much positivty and I get a happy feeling when I'm around these boys. Well they are technically men because of their age... but they don't act their age.

I notice that Joe seems to be still in his 'not-ready-to-go-outside" clothes on, "So are you guys ready to go exploring?" I ask the boys. Please say yes.

"Yes I am! But I must beat these assholes before we leave." Caspar declares as fiddles with the X-box controller.

"Well, you see.." Joe gestures with his fingers towards his whole body, " I haven't really been 'up' per say to actually get dressed in public clothing." We chuckle a little.

Oli smiles at Joe, "It's all good mate. We can wait. We have plenty of time, right Mia?"

I can feel butterflies in my tummy as he said my name, " Yeah, plenty!"

"Alrighty then!" Joe smiles, "I'll go get dressed." As he leaves down the stairs he takes off his shirt, revealing his skin. All of his skin. His shoulder blades almost memorize me but Caspar snaps me out of it.

"Hey Mia, do you want some food? Oli told us that neither of you have eaten yet." Casper pauses his game and puts down his controller onto the kitchen counter.

I put down my backpack by the door and lean onto the counter top, "Yes please! I'm starving!"

After Caspar gets Oli and I something to eat Caspar goes back to playing his game, while Oli and I sit down at the table and eat the food. About twenty-five minutes later Joe finally comes back upstairs. Oli, Caspar and I are on the couch taking turns playing Halo.

"Oi, lazy bums! Get up lets go." Joe yells at the three of us.

As I look around to Joe to smack talk back to him I loose my words. He looks really handsome in his orange coat and beanie hat on. Thank goodness I wasn't the only one in the house or I would have been caught. I don't like Joe. I like Oli. The other boys start their come backs and have a laugh, but I don't hear a thing of it. We all get our stuff together and head out.
