Ever since you were little, Hannah had been your companion. She had been a teacher at your school, and had been close friends with your parents, so she visited often.

Whenever you asked about the first day you had met her, she laughed and smiled.

"I meant what I said."

"But Hannah... I don't want to be a demon! Angels are so much cooler!"

"Katherine, angels are very powerful, but as an angel, you have to be very good and nice all the time or else you'll get kicked out of heaven! As a demon though, you can cause all sort of mischief like... like what?"

You giggled. She had given this answer a million times to answer your million questions and you always come up with mischievous ideas on the 'demon to do list'.

"Like putting salt in the sugar bowl!"

"How about putting flour in the sugar bag?" Hannah teased.

"Nooooo Hannah!!!! I love sugar you can't take away sugar please make me a candy and a cake and cookies and brownies..."

The woman shook her head and laughed. "If I did, it would spoil your dinner; your parents would get mad at me and then they'll never let me visit again!"

The prospect was too horrible to contemplate.

That was just one of the many good memories you had of Hannah. Three years passed in a flash.

Then, when you were ten, she introduced you to Black Butler. You loved it; it seemed perfect to you. You wanted to be a demon and seduce all kinds of people, because, as Hannah said, it was more fun to be a demon than an angel, and fallen angels were just a little overboard.

But Hannah disappeared. You had sat for days crying with no one to console you: your parents were always at work. The only meal you had was breakfast, because the only time you saw Mum or Dad was in the morning when you all ate together.

But then, something even worse happened. A terrorist bomb landed on the building where your parents worked. That day, Hannah came back.

"Hannah... Did you come for me?"

"In a way, dear Katherine."

"Are you going to... adopt me?"

She blinked away a tear. "I... I cannot. You have a duty."

"To Lord Trancy?"

"Yes, but more importantly, to me. Do you remember Kiroshitsuji and your dreams your dreams to become a character from it?"

"Yes."

"I am so sorry for what I am about to do."

"Huh?"

She balled her hand into a fist and sent you flying backwards so fast it seemed you were being thrown back in time.

The last words you heard were hers, and then, you could barely hear them at all.

"Recover his soul... if you wish to set everything right, recover his dear brother's soul."

You woke up with a start. You remembered everything, but that did not mean everything was clear to you. Recover his brother's soul? Whose brother? Wait. Hannah said, "His dear brother." That meant his brother was very dear to him. Could Hannah have meant... Alois Trancy's brother? Luca? It must be. At the end of season two, Hannah claimed she had Luca's soul inside of her, and that was why Alois made a contract with her.

You crept outside of your room. You lead yourself to Hannah's room.

"Hannah... Are you there?"

She opened the door.

"(y/n)?"

Right! You had changed your name!

"Can dragon demons... Recover souls?"

Her eyes widened, then she nodded.

"They can, except the recovered soul then has to be stuffed inside a demon to be sustained," she dictated.

"How do I recover Luca's soul?"

She gasped.

"Luca? How did you know?"

"Long story short, I'm from the future but I was pushed back in time by you and my memory was wiped. I need to help Lord Trancy by helping you have Luca's soul inside of you."

She nodded. Anything to have Luca back.

"First you do this..."

That was how you helped. That was how Hannah recovered Luca's soul. But that was also how you died.
