You squinted your eyes as you picked up speed and rushed ahead to catch-up to the chariot of a noble whose name you did not know and whose purpose was the very definition of unnecessary. The only useful thing about him was his soul. His mournful, heavy soul, weighed down by the knowledge of his wife's death and his uselessness.
You had caught up to the carriage. You leapt in the air and grabbed onto the window in the door and peered inside. The noble was there alright, and he had noticed you. Before he could scream, you let go of the window and used the door as a launching pad to get to the driver's seat, and with a wick flick, his neck was snapped. The horses ploughed on, panicked and galloping at full speed, foaming at the mouth. You climbed up onto the roof and stood, assessing your next move. Your job was to hunt down his soul for Lord Phantomhive's breakfast, but you were ordered to be as methodical as possible, which meant you could not take your time with the hunt and have a little more fun.
You stamped your foot through the roof of the carriage, causing painted wood to crumble and a great hole suitable for jumping inside. You did just that, and approached the nobleman. He recognized you from minutes before andshrank back in his seat, whimpering. You approached him until you were less than a foot away and bent down, looking him straight in the eye. You grinned.
You pressed your lips to his, but it was not a kiss. The longer yours remained there, the more of his soul drained from his body. You gripped his arms tightly, claws forming out of your fingernails, and blood was drawn. He pulled away from your mouth, his tongue forming a shrill scream of pain that pieced the air. You continued to drain his soul by draining his blood, and soon, a lifeless corpse lay in front of you.
You wiped your mouth in disgust. "I hope to never dirty myself like that again."
~~~~~
Sebastian was ignoring you.
It was driving you crazy. You needed to know why. You spent your day performing and completing a varity of chores, and of course there were the occasional tasks that required running into him. You tried to catch his eye -- to smile, and perhaps recieve a smile back -- but he averted all form of contact.
You dusted off a lamp. At least you thought it was lamp. It could have just as easily been a jar containing the souls of innocent children. One could never know with Master Ciel Phantomhive. You turned around and saw Sebastian disappearing around a corner. You narrowed your eyes. He was going to get it.
You sncuk up to the corner, and hestitantly poked your head around it. The Crow's bac was facing you. Carefully, you tiptoed right up to him and prepared for combat.
With a great battle cry, you lept up onto his back, screeching and vibrating your body and, somehow, scaring the living daylights out of him. He may or may not have let out the most high-pitvhed, girly shriek, but you were sworn to secrecy from that day forth.
"(y/n)! No! Wha~ nonono. Where did you- how..?"
You kissed him.
It was only a small peck on the lips, but a kiss nonetheless. He seemed to relax.
"Stop ignoring me! What did I do?" you questioned immediately, climbing down from him.
He sighed that strange exasperated sigh. He touched his forehead with his index finger as if something tedious and unecessary was taking up his time, and he wanted nothing more than to get rif of it. "(y/n)... Well, I could tell you, but it would be ungentlemanly of me to say..."
You knew what he was doing. Damned demon wanted your attention, in fact, that was probably the whole purpose of ignoring you. You were tempted to just walk away and not look back, but why would you do such a thing? Instead, you played his little game, waiting to see where it would go.
"Tell me, my darling. I will see what can be done."
Sebastian sighed again.
"Are you sexually tense?"
He began to sigh again, but then he realized what you just said and sputtered a bit. "No, no... That'ss not what I meant at all, um, but if you are?"
You laughed. "You want me to do one of your chores for you."
"No, of course not. But I have much to do, I should not be complaining... I have to prepare our Master's tea, meals, dust and sweep, polish, hunt, fight, kill-"
"What do you want me to do, Sebastian?" you cut in in a monotone voice. He looked up sharply at you. "Come on, crow-crow. I know you want me to do something, so what is it?"
"I need a few souls for the Master's evening supper."
You wrinkled your nose. "No thank you, sir!"
He looked at you, simultaneoulsy bemused and concerned. "Is there any peculiar reason for the refusal, madame?"
The real reason was that you did not appreciate the way in which to extract a human soul. But Sebastian would laugh at that and tell you to 'suck it up and deal with it', to put it roughly. So you decided to lie. Where was the harm in that?
"Sebastian, I already went out this morning..."
"I know."
"Let me finish," you snapped, giving hima glare. "I went out this morning, to obtain the soul of some nobleman. And I broke into the carriage, as usual. He seemed frightened, as they usually are. But then he did something unusual. He had... he had salt, Sebastian!"
Salt was probably the only material humans believed would repell demons that actually... well, repelled demons. Sebastian frowed, giving you a sign to continue.
"I had never experienced such a circumstance! I was untrained and unprepared. I had no idea or notion of the apprpriate protocool to carry out in such a situation! So I... improvised," you ended witha sultry whisper.
"I stared at him. I begged him with my eyes. He let his guard down, and that was when I engaged in one of the most amusing actions I have ever experienced. I approached him, Sebastion. And I stared won at him with my eyes, those eyes, the ones that attract and reel in. He stared at me too. And..." your voice dropped to a whisper as you started to approach your crow. "I kissed him."
Sebastian twitched. Your plan was working.
"He kissed back. Our tongues intertwined. And he did such a human thing to do. He went to far, he... he..." your chests were touching. You looked up into Sebastian's eyes, eyes that seemed to be progressively more and more clouded with rage.
"He touched.. where only you have ever touched."
The demon snapped. He grabbed your arms and kissed you, forcing his tungue into your mouth. You gasped. He then proceeded to kiss down your jawline, down your neck, and started to nip and suck near your collarbone, in the process of leaving a mark to claim you as his own.
"And- and all the while, when he was doing that-" you continued, your breath short from all the gasps. "I could only find one source of comfort. It was that- that- ahh, that I knew that you would do the same to me when I arrived back at this manor. I envisioned you - oh my goodness - in his place, doing naughty things to me-"
Sebastian cut you off by once again attaching his lips to yours. He pulled away after a few moments, murmuring, "Not quite as naughty as what I shall do to you, right here, right now. I still have not recieved the favour of the second part of the gift from yesterday, my dear~"
And while the two of your continued to do just that, you could not help thinkning that perhaps there was cerainly a degree of harm in lying in such a way, insofar as that no such plot usually ges according to plan. Yet you could not bring yourself to care.
(A/N): I have nothing say. I don't have anything to say... *breaks down* I'M SORRY !! Oh and I might edit the previous chapters so that they make a bit more sense... I got quite confusing at some point down the road...
