Learn To Love Again (Liam Payne)

*Storm's POV*

I dragged Dani into her bedroom and firmly shut the door behind us. I turned to her, completely embarrassed.

"What the heck was that?" I asked her. She smiled at me like an idiot.

"What are you talking about?" She acted innocent and oblivious to the situation.

"You totally embarrassed me out there!" I yelled at her. Dani swept her loose blonde hair out of her face.

"Well duh! It's been a while since I've walked in on you spit swapping with a guy! It needed to happen!"

"But not with Liam!" I yelled in frustration. Dani stopped herself from speaking for a moment. She looked confused.

"What?" Was all she asked. I sighed and sat on the bed, feeling defeated. I looked back up at Dani with teary eyes.

"I'm not ready yet, he's not ready yet. I don't know why the kiss happened..." I paused, trying to fight the tears. "I'm scared to fall in love with him Dani, I can't be heartbroken again. I just can't."

I put my head back in my hands as Dani rubbed my back.

"Storm?" She said.

"Yeah?" I sniffled.

"You have GOT to move on Babe, for your own sake and Liam's. I don't care who it's with, but you've got to allow yourself to be happy again." She finished.

"Okay." I said. Dani lifted my head to look her in the eye.

"Promise me."

"Promise." She hugged me tightly then stood up.

"I'm going to take a shower." She said. I just laughed.

"Random!" Dani giggled.

"That's why you love me." I just shook my head at her as I walked into the living room. I could hear Liam and Michael talking in the kitchen. I snuck up to the entrance, where I could hear and not be seen. Eavesdropping I know, but I was curious.

"You really like this one don't you?" I heard Michael ask. I stood nervously on my toes, eager not to miss Liam's answer.

"Yeah, I like Storm. She's pretty cool." Liam said, my heart sunk. Before I was able to hear anything else, I heard a knock at the door. I was thinking to myself as I went to answer it.

If Liam didn't 'fancy' me, then I was wasting my time with him. I'd stay his friend of course. He was my BEST friend, besides Dani. But other than that, nothing. It wasn't fair to either him or me to try and fix each other if we were both broken. We needed people who were whole for that job.

I was thinking way too much apparently because I was shocked to silence after I opened the door.

Our eyes met and something just clicked. He was my whole, he would fix me, I could already tell. He smiled widely at me.

"Hi." He said shyly. I looked down at the ground and blushed.

"Hi.."

"I'm Louis." He stuck out his hand for me to shake, which I did.

"I know. I mean, uhh, come in!" I said.

'I know'?! Smooth Storm, smooth.

I was speechless.

I was breathless.

She was broken.

I had to make her mine.
