I was still shocked by the sudden run in with this girl that looked so much like Cassandra. She never talked about having a twin nor did she really ever talk about her pass other then with the group of cannibals.
We stood in silence for about half an hour or longer, I felt sick but I kept myself up and steady before hearing her speak.
"How'd she turn?" The girl asked, her weapons hanging from her hand by her side as she wiped the tears from her cheeks.
"She was sick at first, was bit a few days after." I explained, stretching the truth a little.
In this situation, I didn't want to go full out and tell her everything like Murphy was the one to turn her and ended up his half zombie or half human slave. I especially didn't want to tell her that it was me who had mercied her.
She nodded in response as she slipped the gun into the back of her pants, before placing her hands on her hips.
"Who are you really? I mean, you obviously aren't a mute like they said you were." She said, completely changing the topic.
"Names 10k."
"A number for a name? your parents were wanting something unquie?" She teased
"It's not my name, but I go by it. It my goal, I plan on killing that many."
She nodded, "It's good to have a goal, gives you something to follow and work for." She extended out her hand to me and I took hold. I was glad that her hands were just as clammy and cold as mine, but they felt rough and weak. "I'm Rebecca, but I prefer Beck or Becky."
I nodded.
