"How do you like the tour so far?" Tyler asks me, leaning back against the red leather booth. I laugh at his question, shaking my head.
"It's been very rowdy." I reply shortly. I know if I go into detail then I'll ruin this whole meal, which is actually going fine.
"Agreed." Josh chuckles, wiping his mouth with a napkin. "Check please?" He asks a nearby waitress, attempting a charming smile.
"Flirty much?" I cough, teasing him.
"Flirty? I just asked for the check!" He replies, faking a gasp.
"Say that to the smirk on your face." I shoot back, squinting at his innocent look.
"Whatever." He snorts, shrugging. "You're just jealous cause you want a piece of this." He says, moving his hands up and down his torso.
I shake my head at him, watching closely as the waitress hands him the check."Thank you." He tells her in a husky voice that in no way belongs to him.
Tyler and I simultaneously burst in to laughter, clutching our stomachs and turning red. The waitress slowly backs away, hesitantly shifting her eyes back and forth between the three of us.
"Thanks a lot." Josh mumbles, quickly climbing out of the booth.
"W-wait!" I choke out through my laughter, reaching my arm out. I open my mouth to tell him to stay, but I end up collapsing into a ball of giggles once again.
Josh walks away, leaving us alone. Once the laughter dies down, Tyler turns to me and gazes.
"What?" I smile.
"Nothing." He replies, flashing a sweet grin.
"Ready to go back?"
"Almost." I reply, leaning over and lighting kissing him. He backs away, leaving me leaning forward.
"Oh." I mumble, scooting out of the booth.
"No- Olivia, it's not like that." I nod my head and begin to walk away, trying to ignore the sound of his footsteps and pleading words behind me. A light force yanks me back, forcing me to turn around.
"Olivia, I'm sorry. We're in public and you know we have to be a secret so..."
"Oh..." I repeat quietly, backing away. "I'm going to take a breather, I'll meet you on the bus."
"Olivia it's not safe."
"This isn't last time, I'm smarter now and I think I'll be fine."
"Last time?" Tyler questions, raising an eyebrow. "What do you mean?"
"N-nothing." I stutter in reply, quickly walking away. I slipped up.
"Olivia, tell me."
"No can do." I reply, forcing a chuckle.
The footsteps behind me come to a stop and I keep walking till I hear a heartbreaking sentence."If you don't tell me, then we're through." The silence doesn't settle and I can't manage to turn around. "I just don't see why we should be together if you're hiding things from me."
"Tyler, I don't know if it's worth telling you." I say, slowly facing his dim lit features. "If I can't even love you a tiny bit in public, then why is this suddenly worth saving this crappy 'relationship?'"
At this moment Tyler looks so torn. Even through the flickering streetlight you could see that he was on the verge of tears, his face no longer red from laugher but red from stress.
"Maybe it's not." He quietly replies, looking me straight in the eye. "It's your choice." He tells me, turning and walking away.
