I will keep you safe from the morbid
I will stay fearless by your side
As I fight for your life
Because you are too weak
To continue to stand alone

I will keep you safe from the deep
So no one else can drag you away
I will grip you tightly and hold fast
You will not get washed away
So long as I have you in my arms

I will keep you safe from the stings
I will be your shield from their words
Their sharp tongues cannot pierce your skin
While I stand to stop the judgement
You don't have to be afraid anymore

I will keep you safe from the dark
I will handle you carefully
As I carry you through the obscure
And obscene places they throw you
I am your light in the shadows

I will keep you safe from the noise
They will no longer torment you
It's time to disconnect from them
They don't do any good for you
I won't let you bury yourself
