Ever since that weird moment with Henry when he left I haven't seen him much. It's been a week and we've had less and shorter visits. I guess part of it could be that lacrosse started so he's busier but he also stopped texting me goodnight and good morning everyday. I don't know if this random awkwardness is caused by why ever he left the other day or what. But also, I haven't talked to Emily since she told she didn't approve of Henry. I know shes ok thought because Henry told me she hangs out with Caroline at school. Caroline was one of my other friends. She was basically like the school's theater junkie.Way too involved in theater. You practically couldn't have a conversation without her citing a William Shakespeare quote and she's always singing some Newsies or Les Miserables song. Part of me felt bad Emily was left to hang out with her. But whatever part in me that felt bad was covered by my anger towards her.

But in good news my parents think they found a decent low income house to move into. They still have to work more before they can buy it though. Part of me hates the fact that some random family is going to move into my childhood home but then I look at where I am, in a hospital bed, and remember I cant complain.

So I sit up on my bed and realize it's already 5:10. Teresa said she'd come to bring me dinner at 5 so I press the nurse button beside me. Normally I'd just wait knowing she probably just got busy but I didn't eat really any lunch so if my stomach doesn't get some food in it now, I might pass out. Which I guess would be convenient since I'm already in a hospital bed. But before I have time to think where Teresa might be she comes rushing in holding my tray. Shes wearing her usual Tinker bell scrub and I smile at how cute it is. Since she works with teens she's required to dress like a nurse at some family doctor place.

"Hey honey sorry I'm late, you have a new kid in the ward so I was busy with him." She grinned and set my tray down. She walked over to the cabinet and got out my pills and set two on my tray.

"Oh really? Whats his deal?" I ask.

She sits down and exhales. She must have been doing a lot. "His name is Aiden, and he's your age, 16. He was the victim in a DUI case. Pretty bad, he smashed his head in the window and got a pretty bad concussion. Also he broke his left leg and right arm."

"Oh wow... is he awake?" I ask because most of the kids come and are in comas.

"Yeah, he's surprisingly staying pretty positive. He might be a good friend for you," She pauses before continuing, "I know it's kinda lonely in here."

"Yeah I- I guess." I look at my tray and take a bite of salad."Did doctor Len approve my proposition?"

I had asked my doctor if I could get out of the hospital for a day and go to my house for a day just to watch my family pack and be in my old room. I'd have to stay in a wheelchair of course though, but it'd nice to be at home even for just a day.

"Uhh about that... he said he doesn't think its a good idea since were already facing a serious injury, getting out and about could put you at risk."

"Oh ok." I try not to look too upset about it. At least Teresa tried. "It's fine it was a long shot anyway."

I continue eating my food and Teresa gets up to check my blood pressure. She writes down all she needs to check and then says goodbye and goes back to work. I love having our little chats but I wish they were longer.

Just then my parents come in.
"Hey Sky, you feeling alright?"  my mom asks.

I finishing chewing a bite of salad and nod my head. "Im okay."

"We saw the new boy down the hall," my dad said in his stay-away-from-him-because-I-don't-want-you-to-be-pregnant-at-16 voice. Lets just say he wasn't welcoming with boys in my life. He believes "all teenage boys want is to corrupt teenage girls and get them pregnant and then leave." I still think he secretly hates Henry. "Why is he here?"
