"Don't tell me you don't even like him a little bit." I teased Teresa.

"I really don't Y/N!" She denied. But her face got all red.

"So you do like him?" I went on, entertaining myself.

She rolled her eyes but couldn't help the smile forming on her face.

"You two would be the cutest couple ever." I said gazing back at the boys.

"Like Thomas would want me. I'm not special or anything." Teresa sighed playing with the grass.

"Ofcourse you are, everyone is special. Thomas would be an idiot if he doesn't like you back." I smiled to her.

"By the way he's totally showing of for you." I added with a smirk.

Teresa and I were currently sitting near the homestead watching the boys play a game with a ball.

They call it football or something.

"I catched the word special, you guys must be talking about me." A thick british accent suddenly beamed in.

"Hi Newt, couldn't remember inviting you to this girl chat." I set up my best fake smile.

"Don't need to, I invited myself. So what are we talking about?" He asked.

"If you must know, we're talking about boys." Teresa told.

"And which boy exactly? I could do a good word for you, if you'd like." He offered.

Teresa broke out into a fit of laughter.

"You are gonna play Cupido now?" She asked Newt, still laughing her ass off.

Newt looked offended. "Bet I'm a better Cupido than Y/N here."

Oh game on.

"Challenge accepted." I stated. "Good." He said.

Newt walked away but was back in a second. "Wait, who did you like again?"

"Thomas." Teresa shyly said.

An amused grin formed itself on Newt's face. "I'm on it." He smiled.

"Please don't do something to embarrass me, and I'm talking to both of you." She said making sure to also look me in the eyes.

"Don't worry I'm on this as well." I smirked while nudging her shoulder.

Newt's pov

"Hey Tommy!" I greeted.

"Hey Newt." He greeted back.

"Do you wanna go for a walk?" I asked. He gave me a weird look but went with me anyway.

We walked in silence for a little while.

"What do you think of Teresa?" I asked. Okay maybe not smart to get straight to the point.

"W-what do you mean?" He asked.

"I mean what do you think of her? She is pretty right? And kind, and surely a hard worker." I added.

"I thought you were more into Y/N" he said. A puzzled look on his face.

What am I gonna bring in to that? I can't exactly tell him that I want to couple him to Teresa.

"You didn't answer my question." I stated, completely ignoring his.

"Yeah, she is pretty and funny I guess." He answered getting a little awkward.

"Good." I smiled.

"What do you mean good?" He asked with that famous confused face of his.

It is definitely time for a new subject.

"Have you seen Chuck today? I couldn't find him." I said.

"No why?"

"I'm gonna go look for him, see ya around Tommy." I jogged towards the homestead, leaving him confused behind.

I was looking for Teresa, but found Y/N instead.

"Hello love." I smiled. She turned around with a smirk on her face. "Hey Newtie."

Like Thomas said earlier, I do like Y/N a little bit. Well make that a lot.
But we have been friends for two years straight now, and I doubt she likes me back.

At least I get to spend time with her, that's all that matters.

"Guess who just told me that he thinks Teresa is funny and pretty?" I smirked satisfied.

"Knew it." She smiled.

"And you any progress?" I asked her.

"Not yet, but I'm planning a date for them. Like the real deal with candles and stuff. I'll ask the creators to send up some stuff." She told.

"I could help." I offered.

"Yeah sure you are very romantic." Y/N laughed.

"Maybe you'll find out some day." I said wiggling my eyebrows.

Y/N shook her head and laughed quietly. I couldn't help but enjoy it whenever she laughe about one of my jokes.

A few days later the box came up with the stuff that Y/N had ordered along with a new greenie.

We picked out a little place in the deadheads and dressed it up nicely with a blanket and candles.

Then we wrote little cards which said that they both had to come to the deadheads after lights out.

It took us almost the entire afternoon but it was worth the effort.

"Okay they can be here any minute." Y/N said.

The candles made her eyes sparkle and formed a warm glow over her hair. She looked more beautiful than ever.

I couldn't help myself anymore. I had to know whether she likes me back or not.

"Y/N?" I started.

She looked up with her big curious eyes.

"Do you like me?"

Her face started to grow red. "I-I don't know Newt." She stuttered.

I decided not to waiste this moment, if she rejects me I at least have kissed her.

I brought my face to hers and before I knew it we were kissing.

After a few minutes I pulled back. "Do you know now?" I smirked.

Y/N nodded a cheeky grin spread across her face.

"Good." I smiled leaning in for yet another kiss.

"Uhm guys?" Someone interrupted. Followed by a cough.

I moved away from Y/N and looked up to see Thomas and Teresa.

I locked eyes with Y/N and we broke out in a fit of laughter.

Guess we aren't that good at playing cupido.
