He sat with his back to the tree, watching cherry blossoms fall lazily to ground. They drifted and spiraled downwards. The park was virtually deserted. It's only occupants were the busy bugs and the depressed boy.

A blossom petal fell onto his palm and he gently blew on it, sending it to dance away from him. Everything always left him. Well, almost always.

The one friend he had, Seimei, was absent from school today. So he had been all alone, not that he wasn't used to it, he just missed her constant presence and smile. His sadness extended when he thought about her being hurt or sick. He worried about her a lot, seeing as how she hardly worried for herself at all.

Suddenly, a girl with messy brown hair tumbled to stop beside him. She was wearing a turquoise shirt and jeans. When she giggled, he instantly knew that it was Seimei.

"Hello Shi!" He smiled a little at her cheerful greeting.

"Seimei. You didn't show up to school so I was worried about you." She gave out a small chuckle.

"Aww. Don't worry about me. I was absent because I was here all day making you a surprise!" Standing up, she pulled him after her. "Follow me!"

Seimei pulled Shi up to the top of a small hill. He gasped in awe at the miraculous sight in front of him. She had made a giant hibiscus  out of the stray cherry blossoms.

"Wow." Shi breathed out.

"Isn't it pretty?!" She giggled out.

"It's wonderful. Thank you Seimei."

"Even when the blossoms are dying, they look absolutely beautiful." She looked at him, smiling. HIs jet black hair fell, perfectly framing his face. "I'm glad you're smiling."

"I think you've gone completely mad!" He laughed and she joined in. Their laughter spilled and echoed through the almost abandoned park like tinkling bells.

"Well, just remember this. There's a method in my madness, but there's no logic in your sadness"
