After the fourteen hour drive to get back to Indiana from Louisiana I headed straight for Karmont Ln. The street looked really familiar and I didn't understand why until I pulled up to 7829. It was my Uncle's house.
I ran inside, using my key and wondering how on Earth Zak's gang got past the four-hundred dollar security system John had installed. Inside was exactly how I left it that night before the party. The only thing that was different was a chair that someone had pulled into the middle of the living room. The chair was surrounded by rusty chains and burnt up matches. I gasped, letting my imagination run wild.
Sitting on the chair was a note.
"Well, you weren't
expecting us to come
here were you? Only 4
more locations. You
better hurry.
-Tylr xoxo
P.S. Yes, we did use
everything you see on
the floor."
Tears started running down my face. I couldn't stand the thought of them hurting Cole. Especially in the house I lived in for two years. I turned the note over. There was nothing on the back. I kicked over the chair. Tylr stopped helping me. I knew it was a trick. I looked around the room and noticed a blinking light by the phone. There was a message on the answering machine. I picked it up and heard an all too familiar voice.
"Dear Charlotte, I hope you didn't think I wouldn't leave you a hint here," Tylr's voice came out of the speaker. "The next place is somewhere you know well. Remember Ellen's diner? Check the storage shed in the back." The message was over.
It was midnight and I was extremely tired. I drove to the school and fell asleep almost as soon as I walked through the door. Soon, I will find Cole.

Thursday. Only three more days to find Cole. My time was running out, and I needed to hurry. I needed to go to the storage shed behind Ellen's Diner to find the next note. I got in the truck and drove over. It was daytime so I tried to be careful what I was doing. I can't let anybody see me.
I pulled up on the curb and went behind the diner. The grass was high. I don't think anybody goes back here anymore. I walked up to the shed and there was a lock with a key in it. I twisted the key and the lock popped open. I opened the door. It was really dark in the shed, even though it was daytime. I looked behind everything in the front, and then started my way to the back. On the lawn mower, was an envelope with "Charlotte" written on it. I opened the envelope and there was a folded paper inside. It had the next location on it. 758 Centriole Rd., Indiana. It wasn't that far of a drive. I turned the paper over and there was a message written on the back.
"Your time is running
out. Better hurry.
Good luck!
-Tylr xoxo"
I knew he was just antagonizing me. I put the paper in my back pocket and left, without locking up the shed again. I got in the car and sped off to the next location. I only had three more days to find Cole, and I knew I had to be as quick as I can. It took me about ten minutes to get there. I pulled up to the location and looked and the note again. It led me to the school. "Come on Tylr," I said aloud. I got out of the car and went to Cole's room. On the door was another note.
"I see you have found the
next note. Check the back
to see where you will be
going next.
-Tylr xoxo"
I turned the note over and it had a small picture of a building. Under it was an address. 938 Green Ave, Louisville Kentucky. I have to drive all the way back to Kentucky again!? I got back in the truck and plugged the location into my GPS. The road was a dead end. I started my drive back and made it about a half an hour later than I intended to. I drove to the location. It was an abandoned building. It was covered in moss, and there was a weird odor around it.
I walked up to the door, and the handle was also covered in moss. I opened it and the room was completely empty.
