Saving Anakin (Book 2)

"Anakin, maybe it would be best if Padmé doesn't know." Obi-wan said looking over at Anakin.

"What? Why? She deserves to know! After all, she is my..." Anakin then looked away from Obi-wan.

"Anakin, you have to careful with your emotions. If the Council ever found out... You would be expel and Padmé would lose her position in the senate." Obi-wan instructed.

"I know... But she has the right to know!" Anakin demanded.

"Just calm down, Anakin." Obi-wan advised.

"Yes, master." Anakin then tried to relax.
They began to near Scipio, and finally came to a soft landing on the platform.  When they got off the ship, they were politely greeted by none other then Rush Clovis.

"Ah, General Kenobi, General Skywalker! How nice of you to visit Scipio." Rush said kindly, with a hint of disgust for Anakin.

"Senator Clovis, thank you for the kind welcome, but we are in a bit of a hurry. Would you kindly lead us to Senator Amidala?" Obi-wan asked.

"Yes. If you would follow me." Clovis then began to lead them through a hall, towards where Senator Amidala was.

"So what kind of business brings you to Scipio?" Clovis asked trying to make conversation.

"Jedi business." Anakin said blankly.

"Oh, ok." Clovis said, feeling the Jedi was not very fond of him. They walked for another few minuets and came to circular room with a large table in it, with many Senators gathered around. 
Both Jedi searched the room for Padmé. She was nowhere to be found.

"Excuse me, I hate to intrude, but we need to find Senator Amidala. You haven't by any chance seen her, have you?" Obi-wan asked politely. All the Senators just gave them a nice stare.

"And what might you need me for, General Kenobi?" The Jedi whirled around to see none other then, Padmé Amidala, standing right behind them.

"Can we talk in a more private place, Senator?" Obi-wan asked the Senator.

"Yes, of course, General Kenobi." Padmé said, then led them to another room, which was clearly the dining room.

"What is the trouble, Obi-wan?" Padmé asked quietly.

"We are here because..." Obi-wan looked over at Anakin, "Anakin is in danger." Anakin looked away from Obi-wan. He had lied about it. Obi-wan lied.

"What?" Padmé asked in shock.

"There have been many... threats made on his life. We fear that the separatists are planning to kill Anakin." Obi-wan lied again.

Nice lies... Obi-wan heard Anakin say through the force.

Its not the right time to tell her, Anakin. Obi-wan said trying to convince him.

For all you know, there may never be a "right time". Anakin said a little frustrated.

Calm yourself down. The darkness will use your anger. We don't want anymore accidents. Obi-wan said trying to help Anakin.

Why is it always me that the darkness wants? Anakin said frustrated.

Because your the Chosen One, Anakin. The darkness doesn't want you to fulfill the prophecy.

I hate being the Chosen One. Everyone always expects me to be perfect.

Just be careful, Anakin.

"Excuse me Gentlemen, but I would like to know what is going on." Padmé said slightly frustrated, because she knew they weren't telling her the whole truth.

"Yes of course, Senator." Obi-wan said turning away from Anakin.

"If Anakin is in danger then how come you came here?" Padmé asked confused.

"The Chancellor believed that it would be safe for us to come."

"Alright. If thats what the Chancellor said. Pardon me, but I have to get back to my meeting. Good day General Kenobi, General Skywalker."
She then left, leaving the Jedi feeling very guilty indeed.

I would first like to say how sorry I am for the slow update. I've been having writer's block for weeks. I plan on updating on the weekends now. Since I haven't updated in a while I'll post two chapters this weekend.
