Anakin had been watching Nolan closely. The kid hadn't done anything wrong, but he just didn't trust him. Something about the kid was familiar. Not a good familiar though.
"Whatcha doing, Master?" Ahsoka said, interrupted Anakin's thoughts.
"Meditating." Anakin replied, trying to find who this Nolan kid was.
"Nolan has been here for almost a month now! He hasn't done anything wrong. You should give him a chance." Ahsoka said trying to help her master.
"No, Ahsoka. You don't understand." Anakin refused.
"I don't understand what? That his brother was going to capture you but he didn't let him? That he saved your life?" Ahsoka reminded Anakin.
"Stop! Ahsoka, you don't always know everything!" Anakin yelled.
"Sorry, master..." Ahsoka mumbled, clearly hurt. Anakin looked down at the ground. He hated himself for yelling at her. She was like his daughter or little sister. He really loved her. She was only trying to help and he of course had gone off on her.
"No. Im sorry, Ahsoka. You were only trying to help..." Anakin spoke, placing a hand on Ahsoka's shoulder. She looked up at him.
"Its ok, Master. Just... Just try and give him a chance." Ahsoka gave him a small smile.
"I'll try." Anakin returned, with a smile.
"Thank you." Ahsoka said quietly then walked off.
Anakin walked around the gardens a little bit after that, letting a butterfly land gentle on his finger. The gardens always reminded him of happy things. It made him feel relaxed and calm.
The butterfly finally fly away onto a flower, leaving Anakin to smell the roses. The fresh air that was here, reminded him of Naboo. The sweet smells, the soft breeze, the sound of small streams. So many different things made this place pleasant. Obi-wan always told Anakin to go to the gardens to meditate, cause of how peaceful it was. Of course Anakin never really meditated, he would walk around and enjoy everything. Anakin thought back to a memory of getting caught not meditating. Obi-wan had been furious."Anakin, how many times am I going to have to tell you. Meditating helps you control the force. And your anger." Obi-wan had wisely advised.
"Why meditate when you can just come here and forget life for a while?" A much younger Anakin had said.
"Just because you can forget life, doesn't mean you should." Obi-wan warned.
"What do you mean by that? Aren't we supposed to forget our pasts and let go of attachments?" Anakin questioned, slightly confused.
"You will learn someday, that you can't ever truly forget life." Obi-wan spoke.
"Why don't you just teach me, Master." Anakin had asked.
"Because I'm afraid, that is not something I can not teach you. Only you can tach yourself that, my young padawan." Obi-wan had said, placing a hand on Anakin's shoulder.
There were always lessons to be learned. To this day, Anakin still did not understand what Obi-wan had mean't that day.
"You will learn someday, that you can't ever truly forget life."
Never straight to the point. Always something to figure out. Anakin hoped someday, he would be as wise as his old master.
But whiles Anakin was lost in his thoughts, a lot was happening at the Jedi temple.
