Only One (Maze Runner Newt Love Story)

"We should head back before we get stuck in here" I say making a mental note about the scratches on the walls, "your right come on I'm starving" Newt says laughing as we turn round and make our way back to the glade.

We start to sprint as the doors come into veiw as does a couple of our friends waiting for us to come back running, "Newt I'm gonna go tell Alby about the scratches on the walls will you draw out what changes there where?" I ask as we exit the maze being joined by a couple of the other runners and gladers, "sure thing love, I'll come find you after okay" he says as we part ways him heading to the map room and I heading over in the direction of where Alby was with the knew greenie. "Hey Alby can I talk you for a sec?" I say greeting the older glader "yeah sure Lizzie oh greenie this is Li.." but I cut him off which he's gotten use to by now "hey greenie I'm Lizzie" holding my hand out shaking the younger boys hand "but.. but your... your a girl?" He said looking me up and down confusedly before smirking at me, "yeah the only one in this place any way what was it you wanted to talk about Lizzie" Alby says quickly interrupting the conversation before the knew greenie could say anything that he would regret.

"Yeah me and Newt found scratches on the walls in this new part of our section of the maze" I say Alby nods his head at the new information "okay I'll talk to Minho about go get ready the bonfires on tonight" he says before laughing at my expression "aaww way the long face Lizzie I thought you liked the bonfires expecially when Newt and Minho practically fight over..." I glare at my friend who's shaking his head at the memory of the last bonfire "yeah well you shanks were drunk so I hope there's no repeat of it" I say sternly looking over at the greenie "by the way I never got your name greenie?" I ask him checking out what he looks like which to my great disappointment is the complete and utter opposite of what I look like his eyes were bright blue with a mop of curly blond hair on his head, "names Link" the greenie says winking at me 'the cocky shank' I say in my head turning away from them and heading off to mine andc Newts room to take my running gear off before heading off to get some dinner.

I spot Newt heading towards me as I walk towards the mess tent "you alright love" he says raping an arm round my waist as we head over to join the others "yeah just another boy giving me the 'I want you' look but I'm kinder use to it by know by the way this lot shanks look at me" I says smirking as several of the gladers wink at me and try and catch my gase. We get our food and walk over to sit with Minho and the usual people we sit with "Newt serious when are you going to ask the shucking girl to be your girlfriend I mean really you both look amazing to gether but I would make a move before one of those shucks make a move on her!" Minho explains to Newt pointing at the pair of us as we sit down with the other's, by now I'm blushing a beep red and Newt was scolding Minho for what he had said.

That's when I spotted the greenie walk over to us "hey Lizzie can I sit with you guys?" He asks looking around at the gladers on the table "sure guys this the new greenie, greenie this is Newt, Minho, Ben,Gally, Zart, James, Clint and Jeff" I say gesturing to the other boys I said their names. He looks round at each glader as they all said hi, "why do you guys call me greenie my names Link!" He says sitting down opposite me, "well shuck face your the new one here and so we call you greenie" James answers as him, Minho, Ben and Zart brake down in to a laughing fit "don't worry you get use to it this only started calling me by my name this morning before we went running" I say shaking my head at the immature bunch of slintheads at the table. "What did they use to call you" he asks giving me the 'I want you so bad' look as i tell him how I was the greenie before him trying to ignore the looks that he was giving me, but it was obvious that the others had noticed this because they all were giving him glares that could kill and every so often when he winked at me Minho, James and Ben would click their nuckles to make them selves more menacing as Newt slowly pull me closer and closer to him even though there was hardly any room.
