Chapter 15

She don't like the flash, wanna keep us in the dark,
She don't like the fame, hate it when we're miles apart,
And she getting to the point where it's too much for her,
And throw us all away 'cause it's too much for her,
She can't hide away 'cause the world knows who we are,
She don't like the lights.

"Yeah?" I mumbled, after I had picked up the phone.

I had a free period in school, so I was trying to do the homework, I obviously didn't get to do yesterday.

"Well hello sunshine" Marco laughed at my grumpy voice.

Fast, my mood changed and a smile turned up on my lips.

"Hi you" I said, putting my pencil down.

"Why so grumpy?" he laughed, I could almost see his grin for me.

"Well, someone kept me from doing my homework last night"

"Hey! You didn't prostate at any moment"

"Fine. Whatever" I said, rolling my eyes.

"Are you still sure, you want to come to the game tomorrow?"

"Yes, I told you so"

"I was just checking. I could pick you up after training and you could spend the weekend at mine?"

"I'd love too, but ugh... We have to do one thing, though" I said, biting the inside of cheek.

"What?"

"You have to meet my mom" I mumbled, feeling how my heart may have skipped a beat.

I hadn't been able to keep her from knowing, that something was definitely going on and as much as I tried keeping her from knowing about Marco, I knew, I had to introduce them, because she was coming of the with craziest ideas, she actually asked me, if I was doing drugs, I mean, now was the time. Marco didn't say anything, so I hurried to explain.

"My mom knows something is going on, yesterday, she actually asked me if I was doing drug!"

"Are you serious?"

"Yeah, I'm sorry, but-"

"No! I want to meet her, I just... I always get so nervous. Especially because of our age difference"

"Don't worry, it doesn't have to be long. Just pick me up at home, just so she can meet you"

"Alright, I'll do that then"

"Marco?"

"Yeah?"

"I love you" I smiled.

"And I love you" he smiled, before hanging up.

I didn't really want my mom to get involved, but someday it had to come and I knew that. Marco was right though, would she freak out about his age? Hopefully she won't, because I'm not ready to give up Marco, not ever.

I took a deep breath, before walking into the living room. As I put down the bag I'd packed, I felt how every part of my body was shivering. My throat felt dry, as I looked at my mom. She sent me a short smile, before looking at my bag.

"Going somewhere?" She asked, raising an eyebrow.

Nervously playing with my hands, I tried to give her a huge smile. I walked over and sat down next to her in the sofa.
