"Good morning" The voice I knew so well rang in my ear even though he was on the other side of the kitchen.

"Good mor..." I looked up and he was in gym shorts! I mean only gym shorts, no shirt! Its ok Danielle, his abs are not that sexy! Not at all... who am I fooling

"...ning good morning Devin" I stuttered while trying to play it off cool. That wasn't totally noticeable. Nope, not at all.

"What's for breakfast Dani?" He asked smiling at me and sitting at a stool.

"Umm I don't know, what should I make?" I asked leaning against the counter.

"Pancakes!" He said like a 5-year-old child

"You sound like a 5-year-old. Somebody's excited!" I said laughing at him.

"Yes! I love pancakes!" He said nodding happily.

"You wanna help?" I asked tapping the counter.

"Sure" He said getting up.

"Ok. Get the batter, the bowl, and the whisk" I went over to the fridge and got the milk and the eggs and the butter but it was a lot for my tiny hands.

"Hey, do you need help?" He asked noticing my struggle.

"Yea" I mumbled. He came over and took the butter and the eggs

"Ok, so Summers where do we start?" He said looking at the ingredients

"Well Hall, you gotta pour the batter mix into the bowl." I said pointing to the cake batter. He opened the mix and poured it in and the powder was flying everywhere

"Aye Hall, watch it!" I said waving off the mix.

"Sorry" He said chuckling.

"Its ok." I said matching his laugh.

"Ok so what do I do now?" He asked as all the mix was settled in.

"Well you must crack two eggs." I said sliding him the eggs.

"Into the bowl?" He asked holding them over the bowl.

"No on your head" I said rolling my eyes.

"How about your head? Come here" He said putting the eggs down and chasing me.

"No! DEVIN!" I screamed running away from him. We were running around the island.

"Devin stop" I said on one said of the counter.

"No" He ran and caught me and I screamed.

"DEVIN! Put me down! Devin stop tickling me" I was laughing hysterically

"What's the magic word?" He asked holding me.

"Please!" I said breathlessly.

"The magic word actually was 'Devin my dearest favorite person in the whole world, please put me down', but that'll work." He put me on the floor.
