"I'm going upstairs." Henry told Killian before giving his sister a kiss on the forehead and leaving the room.
It was so surreal watching myself as a incapable baby. I couldn't imagine not being able to eat on my own.
"Guess what, Pheebs. Your daddy loves you very much and he is always going to be here to protect you." Killian cooed to his baby daughter. I hadn't been old enough to be able to smile, but I looked happy. "Shall we go upstairs and find your mummy?"
The dreamcatcher followed Killian as he carried me up the stairs and into Emma's bedroom.
"Hey mom." Killian said in a squeaky, girl American accent.
"Hey kid." Emma said happily. Her voice was noticeable higher and bouncier than usual. It was the way most people typically talked to babies, but it was a way I never would have imagined Emma to speak.
"How are you feeling?" Killian said, climbing into bed with Emma. I was still snuggled into his chest, half asleep now.
"I'm good." Emma smiled. She leant over and kissed Killian's cheek, then kissed baby me's head. It was such a cute moment.
The happy couple must have been tired from looking after a newborn baby, and the three of us fell asleep in minutes. It was then when I decided to skip to another time period.
"Show me myself at 11 months." I said quitely. I knew that I was taken away when I was a year old, so this will have been a month before.
The image on the dreamcatcher looked to be the day where my baby picture was taken. It was the only picture I had of myself as an infant, so I knew the setting immediately. I had only ever seen the photograph of my mother holding me in a field filled with flowers, but today I was seeing the full picture. There was a large red and white blanket spread across the grass. A wicked picnic basket sat in the middle of the plaid blanket, but the food had already been taken out and served.
"What a perfect day." Mary Margaret exhaled. So far I could see Mary Margaret, David, Mary Margaret's son, Emma, Killian, Henry, Violet, me, and Zelena at the picnic. There was also a pretty lady with shoulder length black hair with a toddler sat on her knee. The little girl looked to be about 6 months older than I was at the time.
"Are you having a good day, Robin?" The dark haired lady asked the little girl who was leaning on her. She was wrapping the girl's red ringlets around her fingers.
"Yes." Robin replied very matter-of-factly. She was so carefree. Yes was probably one of the only words she knew.
"Mom, can I borrow some money to get some ice cream with Violet?" Henry asked the black haired lady. I realised that she had to be Regina.
"Sure, just take a few dollars from my purse." Regina answered.
Henry thanked his other mother before running off with his girlfriend.
"I think we should set little Robin up with little Neal." Killian and Emma joined everyone at the picnic with me in his arms. They had spent the last few minutes taking photos. One of which was the photo I had treasured for as long as I could remember.
"Our family tree is messed up enough as it is." Mary Margaret chuckled.
"Just a thought." Killian sat down next to David and sat me next to him. Being an 11 month old baby who had just leant how to travel unassisted, I started crawling off the moment Killian let go of my chubby little body.
"She's like a hedgehog." David said as he watched me crawl off.
"Don't call your granddaughter a hedgehog." Emma told David off before picking me up for a hug.
"She doesn't have spikes." Zelena added, as if that was the main issue.
"You're not s hedgehog, you're s princess." Emma whispered to me as she lifted me up so that our noses were touching.
I hadn't realised I was crying. They were happy tears. I always presumed my birth parents hadn't wanted me, but this dreamcatcher was proving me wrong.
"What are you crying about?" I jumped. I haven't noticed Emma starting in the doorway of the nursery. I was sat against the wall with my knees up, so she couldn't see the dreamcatcher resting on my thighs.
"Nothing." I smiled, subtly wiping me tears away and giving Emma a big cheesy grin. Hopefully my awkwardness would scare her away for a little while.
"Whatever." Emma shrugged and went back downstairs. I knew she knew something wasn't right, though.
