Kendall POV

"Just do whatever you have to!" I hung up and slammed my phone on the desk. I was talking to one of my employees that was making a deal that is going to make me a lot of money. They were struggling, so I had to give them a bit of help. 

I got the whole art building crap settled, I worked a bit of my magic, and everything went smoothly, just how I planned it to be. I heard my office door open and I looked up. My secretary came in with her really, really short skirt and her blouse that was hanging way too low. I groaned. 

"What?" She came over and leaned on my desk. 

"Those people you were doing a deal with dropped the papers by to show it was official." I grabbed the paper from her hands. I waved my hands. 

"Alright, go." She smirked and sat on my desk. I looked at the papers and then stopped. I looked up. 

"What? I told you to go." 

"Are you available tonight, for some dinner?" I rolled my eyes. 

"No, not tomorrow, not the next day, not ever, so don't ask me again. Now go." She let out a 'hmph' and continued to sit on my got damn desk. I am not about to get in the bed with this girl so she can just go somewhere. 

"Is it because of her?" Her eyes piercing my soul. She did not blink one bit. 

"That is none of your business." She chuckled. 

"You seemed to have forgotten what happened between us." I slammed my fist on my desk. Her and I may have had a little fling, but it was something I never wanted to happen again. I completely blocked that memory from my mind.

"Get out! Damn it!" The door opened. Fucking great. 

Katelyn. My secretary was still on my desk with her skirt literally up so far that if you moved it up any farther, you could see her underwear. 

Katelyn looked at her, I could tell she was trying to keep her composure. 

"Maybe you should tell your girlfriend about us? Yeah." She got up and walked out. 

"There was no us!" I yelled. I sighed and looked down at my desk. 

"Katelyn." She crossed her arms and walked over to me. 

"What happened between you and her?" I got up and went around the desk. I grabbed her hands. 

"We had sex one time, a long time ago, and not she's bringing it up again because she's just jealous." I kissed her cheek. She nodded. 

"Thank you for telling me Kendall." I smiled. 

"No secrets, right?"

"Right."

 A month later

Everything had been going ok. Nothing has really happened drastic in my life, and I am so grateful. Kody was drastic enough and I don't need anymore surprises for a while. Katelyn and I are better than ever, very ironic because we didn't start off the best in the very, very beginning, but we are more than great now. I remember when Katelyn was arguing with me about that damn remote. I was a stubborn ass and wanted to watch the big TV in the living room. 

I am glad that Katelyn has accepted me back into her life because I honestly thought that I could go on without her in my life, but I was badly mistaken. She is someone that fills the void that has been with me for a long time. I have never really had that closeness in my life, considering my relationship with my parents. My mom moved away because of my father, and I put my own got damn father in jail. 

I think I deserve all the good things that has happened to me thus far because of the hell I went through in the past. I don't think I that terrible of a person, but I do think I need a bit of a personality check, but the way I am isn't entirely my fault. I am happy to say that everything is good and after this point in my life, things are going to start slowing down a bit. I am considering asking Katelyn for marriage again, but I think we both need a while before that happens, honestly. 

Anyway, enough with the bluff. Right now, I am sitting on the couch while Kody is in his bouncer playing with his little toys that hang above him. Katelyn is making dinner at the moment, it's safe to say that I love having her here, of course not just because of her making my dinner haha. 

"Dinner is ready!" Those three words I have been waiting to hear for over an hour. I picked up Kody and his bouncer and took it into the dining room. 

"Smells really good babe." She smiled. 

"I hope it tastes good." 

"I wouldn't think any differently." We sat down and had a mild talk, just about general things. The company, the next steps of her potentially moving in and Kody. Talks like this were something to tell each other what was going on in our heads and if we had problems. 

"Katelyn, I'm really just about to call the movers and have them just show up to your parents' house." She laughed. 

"I have thought long and hard about it." 

"And?" She looked at me with a smile and said nothing for a minute. "And fucking what Katelyn?!" 

"I'll move in." I sprung up and gave her a hug and a kiss. "Ok...ok..Kendall!" I let go of her.

"I'm so happy you're moving in, you'll be much happier here." She crossed her arms. 

"And what makes you think that?" I gave her a 'duh' face.

"I am here, what else?"
