I hung in the doorway of Alaric's old bedroom at the Gilberts, Watching in amazement as Jeremy and Elena painted the walls with a new bright colour. I looked at Stefan as he glanced back at me and shrugged, shaking his head. He let out a sigh as he came to stand beside me. ''Should they be doing this?'' i ask him. ''I mean, so soon?''
''Apparently they need to keep busy.'' he tells me.
''I get that.'' i mumble. ''But really, this colour?'' i say in disgust.
''It was the only colour we had.'' Jeremy tells me. ''It's what happens when you decide to paint the room in the middle of the night. Lucky we had any at all.''
''So how are you guys?'' i ask, shrugging my jacket off. ''After everything.''
''We're fine.'' Jeremy tells me. ''I was just saying to your good guy brother he should give us one day, just one day without vampires in it.'' i could feel some tension around the room as i folded my jacket over my arm.
''Huh.'' i nod. ''Well, guess we know where we're not wanted.'' i raise my eyebrows. Jeremy sighs, throwing his paintbrush down onto the floor and heading out of the room.
''He didn't mean that.'' Elena sighs.
''Yeah, he did.'' Stefan smiles at her. I looked around as the doorbell dinged.
''I'll get it.'' i tell them, wanting to leave the awkwardness that hung in the air. I could smell blood as i approached the door and cursed under my breath as i swung it open. ''The hell?'' i raise my eyebrows seeing Damon holding up a bitten Bonnie who could barely stand.
''We have a problem.''
''No shit Sherlock.'' i mumble. ''Stefan,'' i turn, looking up the stairs. ''You might wanna get down here.''
''So, what's going on?'' i ask as we all walk into the kitchen. Stefan soon joined us, asking the same question.
''Um.'' Damon says leaning against the back of the chair. ''Well, Alaric has turned.''
''What?'' me and Stefan chorus together.
''He attacked Bon Bon here.'' Damon says pointing to the puncture wounds in her neck.
''What do you mean he turned?! I thought you were keeping guard!'' Stefan groans.
''I had no idea what was happening!'' Bonnie urges. ''The witches lead me there,''
''They obviously wanted him to turn.'' i sigh.
''So where's the stake now?''
''The white oak one? You know, the one that can kill all the originals.'' Damon glances at me as he said the words. ''We don't know.''
''So what now?''
''We kill him.'' Stefan shrugs.
''We can't let Alaric die...again.'' i mumble.
''We've got to.'' Damon tells me. ''I should have done it for him.'' he rolls his eyes.
''So how do we kill him?'' Stefan questions.
''I've been trying to work it out.'' Bonnie tells us. ''You can't make an immortal creature. There's always a loop hole.''
''So, whats the witchy voodoo verdict?'' Damon asks.
''I don't know.''
I looked up as the doorbell rang and Jeremy answering it. ''What the hell do you want?'' i ran towards the door seeing Klaus standing there. He wavered slightly as he saw me but soon regained himself as he looked back at Jeremy.
