Red Mages are mages that use both light and dark magic and uses it equally for offensive and defensive purposes. They use their magic for good but tend to use dark magic as a last resort. There is a balanced mix between male and female. Normally they dress a little more loosely than oter mage and range of intelligence is in between average and geniuses.
