Finding Mr. Right

Raven

It was the next day and I was in the car with Demar. I yawned. I didn't get much sleep. I was sobbing into my pillow thinking about Kyle's advice.

Maybe I do really like Zach.
I sighed sinking into my seat.

"Thinking about Zach?" Demar asked raising his eyebrow. How did he know?

"Kyle told me everything." He said and I nodded.
"Kyle gave some advice but I don't know.." I said thinking.

"Want some advice from me?" Demar asked.
"Oh yes please." I said.

"I say you need to figure yourself out first before you do anything as well, but Zach shouldn't have assumed from silence. Silence has a lot of meanings." Demar said. That's true. I didn't answer him. He just left.

I have more to think about.

I sat next to Demar as he signed autographs. I gave out some too. Why do people even like me? I'm a towel girl who broke some rules..

"Raven I love you so much!"  A girl walked up to me and said as Demar signed her ball.
"Aww..  I love you too."
"So is it true about you and Kyle Lowry?"  She asked.
"Um...  What do you mean?"  I asked confused.
"You two are dating..  It's all over the Internet."  She said and my jaw dropped.  Okay...  Stay professional.

"It's not true.  He was just taking me home.  He's an older brother to me."  I said clearing the misunderstanding.
"Oh..  I was shipping it.  Ryle.."  She laughed awkwardly and I laughed as well.
"It will never be true."  Demar laughed with me.

"Everyone's gonna believe it unless it comes off the internet.  It was nice meeting you."  She said and walked away.

Today was going to be hell.

I was walking around the Enecare Centre talking to Kyle on the phone.

"Yeah.  I've seen it all over the Internet."  I heard Kyle sigh.
"So what are we gonna do?"  I asked.
"I have no clue.  There are going to be consequences."

"Raven, can I talk to you?"  I turned to see Dwayne Casey..
"Umm of course."

"Later Kyle."
"Good luck out there."

I followed Dwayne to a secluded area.

"What's this?"  Dwayne asked me showing a picture of Kyle hugging me.
"It's a misunderstanding.  I-"
"Your reason doesn't matter.  No one will care about what you have to say now.  The pictures make it all."  Dwayne said.  He was mad.

"You know what this means?"  He asked.
"What?"
"It's a bad reputation for the team.  If this doesn't clear, we have to fire you." 

My jaw dropped, "What?  No!"
"The only way is to find someone to fall in love with that's not on the team and we can eventually clear it from there."  Dwayne said.

Wow.  Everything is just crumbling before my eyes.
