Please Don't Go

Sophie's pov
Hi, I'm Sophie. I'm 12 and my best friends are Jacob, Mark, Bryce, Alecia, and Maya. I' the youngest of all of them. We've all been friends since 2nd grade, when I moved from Pennsylvania to Virginia. A lot of the time in school I get bullied because I'm different. But, at least I have my friends to save me. Right now I am walking with the gang to my house. (P.S. That's Sophie in the media.)
**skip walk home**
"What do you guys want to do?" Mark asks. Jacob pulls an empty bottle of coke out of the recycling bin and replies with, "How about 7 minutes of spin the bottle?" "Okay," we say in unison with a worried voice. 7 minutes of spin the bottle is a fusion between 7 minutes in Heaven and spin the bottle. Pretty much we all take turns spinning the bottle and whoever it lands on, you have to make out with them in my basement for 7 minutes. Let's be honest here for a second, this could turn out really bad, or really good. Ever since I met Jacob though, I've had a little bit of a crush on him. I really just don't want to screw anything up.

Jacob's pov
Oh my god, this is going to be terrible. What if I get Sophie? We've been friends for years but, I really like her. Her eyes, they kill me, and her words recessitate me. Sadly, I don't think she likes me back. "Is everyone ready?" Mark asks as we gather in the living room and sit on the rug. Mark places the bottle in the middle of us and spins it. It lands on Alecia, she blushes.

Alecia's pov
That's, it. I'm done. Why did this have to happen? Maya and Sophie both look at me with worried faces. They both know that I have feelings for Mark. Why me?

Sophie's pov
"What is Alecia going to do?" I think to myself as they open the door to my basement and walk down the stairs. Bryce starts the timer on his phone. "Who's up next?" Bryce asks. "Maya!" we all yell while mocking her with kissy faces.

Mark's pov
What did I just get myself into? Alecia and I sit down on the couch in the basement. We didn't even bother to turn the lights on. Maybe if the light are off I won't be as nervous. Then, after an awkward 30 second period where we just sat there and did nothing, Alecia grabs my shirt and smashes her lips into mine. I was pleasantly surprised. We must have been in there for a while because Bryce was running down the stairs screaming, "Time! Time! Time! Oh my freaking god, time!" Alecia smiles at me showing her perfectly, imperfect smile. She is simply captivating. "Hey, um, Alecia... uh... would you like to go on a date with me some time. I see her blush, then she kisses me one more and says, "Sure."

Sophie's pov
I hear the knob of the door rattle and then the door opens. Out comes Mark and Alecia holding hands. Mark smiles at Alecia, she blushes and smiles back, then Mark raises her hand and takes a big bow like it was his first night in Broadway. You can always leave it up to Mark to make you laugh. They sit back down in the circle as Maya spins the bottle. It lands on Jacob, honestly, I'm relieved, but disappointed at the same time. I liked him, but at least I didn't have to make out with him today. The both get up and walk to the stairs. Jacob looked back giving Bryce and Mark that look I'm not really sure how to describe, it was like a mix between, "What did I get myself into?", "Lord please help me," and "Yeah! Get it dude!"  Mark and Bryce just looked at him like, "Go get it man." I understand why Jacob would make that face though, Maya has long, dark brown wavy hair and deep green eyes. She is much prettier than I am.

Jacob's pov
Why am I getting myself into this? I want to kiss Sophie, not Maya. I mean she's pretty but not nearly as much as Sophie.

**7 minutes later** (that SpongeBob reference. Joking I'm not allowed to watch SpongeBob.)

Sophie's pov
I don't know if they had a timer on them or what, because they came up right at the 7 minute mark. As soon as they came up, my mom walked in. Mark quick hid the bottle and we all started babbling about random stuff. "Hey guys, whatcha doing?" my mom asks us as we stop talking. "Just talking about a really cool teacher we had," I lied trying to cover up what we're doing. "Oh, okay, I just want to let you know that I don't really feel good tonight to I'm going straight to bed. Don't burn the house down. Okay?" she says with a joking tone in her voice. "Okay Mom," I reply pretending to sound disappointed that we could burn the house down as she walks up stairs and goes to bed. Everyone seems to forget that I haven't gone yet, so we decide to do a second round. Bryce decided to participate this round. Mark and Alecia got each other again. (What are the odds? - actually pretty high - but anyways) Bryce this time got Maya. This would be interesting. Maya always stays away from Bryce because he got her her first detention because he was cheating off her test. She never forgave him for that.

Bryce's pov
I immediately get a bad feeling in my stomach. Back in 5th grade I cheated off Maya's test and got her a detention. She never really talked to her after that. When we got in the basement (wow that sounded wrong) we sat down on the couch. She just stared at me with a poker face. "I'm sorry," I say to her to try to get at least a smidgen of emotion out of her. She looks at me and says, "I know, I don't even care about that anymore. Sophie hacked the school's system and took it off my record for me." Wow. I didn't even know Sophie knew what a computer was. Then Maya grabs the back of my neck and smashes her lips into mine. Jesus Christ, she is a really good kisser. Then, mid-kiss she just pulls away and smiles at me, just a cute little innocent smile. "Hey, ummm.... Would you like to hang out sometime?" I asked her caught up in the moment. "Bryce, please, we hang out every day, but if you ever need anything, you know where I'm at," she said to me, giving me a suggestive wink. Them we just head upstairs. "Hey, you guys had 13 seconds left," Mark yells at us. I smile and smash my lips against hers, everyone started making that immature "oooooh" noise that they make when people are kissing. Maya pulls away, smiles at me, and walks back to her seat. The last ones to go are Sophie and Jacob, this should be weird because I know they have a crush on each other.

Jacob's pov
Okay, so, I have to make out with Sophie. What am I going to do? I really like her and I don't want to screw this up. So, we are heading down stairs right now. With each step I am getting more and more anxious. Then, we sit down on the floor (cause why not). She looks at me with complete panic in her eyes. She must be as nervous as I am. To calm her, I grab the back her neck and slowly lean in. Our lips touch and our kiss is passionate and slow. The sparks that are ignited between us are overwhelming. I caress her cheek as her hands find my hair and tugs on it which causes me to moan a little (what am I doing with my life (: ).

Sophie's pov
After I pulled on his hair, I broke our kiss. Jacob looked at me with big puppy dog eyes, confused at what I was doing. Then my hands found the ham of his shirt and pulled it off. Between the time I could not see Jacobs face and now, his face had changed expressions. Now he was wearing a deviant smirk. He then laid me on the floor and started kissing me. Mark then comes running down the stairs and just stops. "What the fuck happened in here?" Mark said half laughing and half actually questioning. "Uhm..... just a game," Jacob replies with a smart ass attitude. "Okay, you guys have two minutes to get your butts upstairs," Mark replies and he walks up the stairs. "Hey Sophie, you wanna be my girlfriend?" Jacob asked me blushing like crazy. "Jacob, listen, you were literally just kissing another girl like 30 minutes ago, ask me again later," I say as Jacob makes a disappointed face that half breaks my heart.
