"Alright.. We're here." He finally announced. He parked the car and got out, then opened my door for me.

"So...?" I smiled. "What's the surprise?"

"Hello Philip!"

I turned around to see a woman with short brown hair, coming towards Phil.

"Hey Mum."

Mum? I'm meeting his family... Today? What is the reason for this? Why wouldn't he tell me?

"And this must be Dan.." She said. "Nice to finally meet you, dear." She pulled me in for a hug.

Damn you Philip... Why didn't you tell me I was meeting your family today?

"I've heard a lot about you."

"Muuuum..." Phil said, sounding slightly annoyed. "Why do you have to embarrass me?"

"Well, sorry dear. I'm just excited to finally meet your boyfriend!"

"Well I'm excited to finally introduce him to everyone." Phil smiled, interlocking his fingers with mine.

Everyone? Now I'm more nervous. Philly, what are you doing?

Before we walked inside, I pulled Phil aside.

"Everything okay, baby?"

"Um... Can you explain what we're doing here?" I asked.

He took both of my hands and smiled softly. "I am completely out of the closet.. Meaning that my parents wanted to meet the boy who stole my heart." His hand caressed my cheek.

"But now? I'm meeting your parents, now? And what did your mum mean by everyone?" I started to freak out.

"Baby, baby.." He kissed me. "It's okay. My mum's birthday just past last month and she was sick then, so we're having her birthday party today. Okay?"

"Babe, you could've told me that." I sighed with relief. "Who all is going to be here?"

"My brother, my parents, some of my cousins, and a few of my mum's friends. It'll be okay. They've already heard a lot about you and they're excited to meet you."

"Okay." We kissed again before walking inside of Phil's parent's house. It was a casual thing. I wasn't there only to meet his family, but as Phil's date to a party.

Martyn and the other guests arrived and Phil's mum greeted everyone. An old friend of hers showed up and hugged Phil.

"How have you been, Phil? Still working on your films?"

"Yes, I'm a thriving YouTuber now. I was recently signed with the management." He looked at me, smiling. "We need at least some money to move." He wrapped his arm around me.

"I know my son would be very proud of you. He knew how much you love media production."

"Excuse me, your son?" I chimed in. "Sorry to interrupt."

"Yeah, her son was a friend of mine before I applied to uni. He died a couple years ago." Phil explained.

"Oh, cool."

"I'll see you around, Phil." She left.

"So has Mum embarrassed my little brother yet?" He asked me.
