hey guys, thought I should remind you that while I don't own anything EXCEPT LYNN AND HER FAMILY AND THIS PLOT you may notice I haven't put a copyright on it. That Is because this is based on J.K. Rowling's series Harry Potter.
I didn't know what to tell them. I'd never lied to my friends, no matter what, but I didn't know how to handle this situation. I didn't know how to tell them I'd accidentally traveled to the future and found out that James snagged Lily, had a very important kid, and died a year later. I didn't know how to tell them of Peter's betrayal- of Sirius' imprisonment. I just didn't know what to tell them.
I opened my mouth to tell them something -anything- when Madam Pomfrey came in and made them leave, saying I needed to rest. "Go on, shoo." She ushered as Sirius leaned down and kissed my hair softly.
"I'll be here first thing in the morning." He whispered. I nodded and tried not to cry as she continued to usher my four best friends out of my room.
I don't know how long I lay in the bed trying to fall asleep, but in the end, I just sat up and stared out of the windows at the night sky as I ate a bar of chocolate. "Lynn." A soft voice called, getting my attention once more.
"Professor." I turned to see the old gentleman sitting down in a chair. I gave him a piece of chocolate and waited.
"So, you've come home." He started, "once again." I looked at him with a 'What- on-Earth- are -you- talking -about?!' Look, "Oh yes, I know you travel the time stream." I looked at him with wide eyes, "Though you're apperantly still learning the ropes."
"I don't q-quite- understand -you Professor." I managed to choke out.
"You've just come back from your first trip, I believe."
"First trip?!"
"Oh yes. Now, I can't really give anything away, but I can -perhaps- point you in a good direction." I waited a moment, "Your friends care a lot about you. You should lean on them as they have leaned on you these many years." He smiled at me as I gave him a very confused look. "Good night Lynn."
I woke to find Sirius and Madam Pomfrey at odds- again. I rubbed the sleep from my eyes as I sat up. "Siri-footer?" I yawned, "Why are you yelling at Madam Poppy?"
"I wasn't yelling!" He yelled "I was talking excitedly in the hopes that you would soon wake up so that we may eat breakfast together."
"Oh, okay." I yawned, stretching. We made our way to the Great Hall for breakfast- where I was tackled to the ground by a flaming red headed best friend- right in the middle of a great big yawn.
"Gwen!" I tried to breathe through the bone crushing hug- without success.
"Lil-" I squeaked, "Can't -breathe!"
"Wotcher Evans!" Sirius picked her off me with ease, "We just found out she's alive! Don't wanna kill her just yet- wait 'til the shock wears off a bit."
"Black-"
"Lily!" I hugged her this time, interrupting their fight. "I missed you!"
"I missed you too!" All the sudden she was crying -and then I was crying- and then Sirius was freaking out.
We were all hugging and crying -with Sirius being the excepting as he was still freaking out- when all the other boys joined us. "Sirius, whe- what did you do to them?!" James glared at him.
"What?! Nothing! They just started acting like girls!"
"Sirius! Seriously?!" I would've lunged at him, but Lily's grip on my robe prevented me.
