The Selection

All the girls, including me walked to the dining room together. When we walked in we all curtsied- to Sadie's teachings. 

All the family was in there eating EXCEPT for Matthew. Wow the one person we all wanted to meet. 

"You may all sit. Matthew had some more work to do and he could not make it to dinner, he sends his apologies." Queen Amberley said. 

Some girls said Its ok some just nodded. I was kind of disappointed actually. 

We all sat and the food was in front of us. 

"This looks amazing." I said 

Several other girls commented and nodded. This was way more food than I get in like a week at home. 

"Thank you. We love our kitchen staff." Said King Clarkson, looking proud as ever. 

I started some small chatting with the girls next to me. Erin and Allie. They already knew each other, being from the same caste and all. 

"Are you excited to meet the prince tomorrow?" Erin said with a wink. She had strawberry blonde hair, not quite as red as mine. No freckles. 

 "YES!!" Squealed Allie dong a little lap of her hands. Getting a look from Sadie. 

I just nodded and laughed at her. 

"I am very excited to see my room." I said while stuffing a roll in my mouth. 

"Me too. I have heard that they are very big and that we get to decorate them ourselves which will be fun!!" Erin exclaimed. 

We continued eating until the meal was over and we were dismissed back to our rooms. 

I walked back to my room with Erin and Allie, even though their rooms were down the hall. 

"Bye!" I said giving them both a hug. "Want to meet in the morning on our way to breakfast?" I continued.

"Only of course." Allie said walking to her room. 

I walked in my room and I was amazed. It was like as big as my house. 

"Hello I am Hannah, This is Mary and Suzy, we are your maids." My maid, Hannah said.

"Wow it is so nice to meet you!! When do I get to start decorating?" I asked

"We can right after we get you ready for bed." Suzy said with a warm smile.

"I can get ready myself if you want...?" I said. I really did not want them to undress me and stuff. 

"It is our job, Miss." Mary said. 

I nodded and they walked me to the HUGE bathroom. 

"Miss Margaret,do you want the mint scent or something else?" Hannah asked

"Um, do you happen to have any fruity scents?" I asked. Fruity scents are my favorite. 

"Yes of course, let me go get one and we will start your bath." Mary said. 

Hannah and Suzy started to take out my hair and brush it and then they undressed me and told me to get in the tub. It smelled amazing and felt amazing. After my bath I got out and into another very silky robe. Then they brushed out my hair and gave me some hand made pajamas. (all the clothes they make themselves) 

"Wow thank you!" I said.

"Ok so how would you like your room?" Suzy asked. I could tell she was excited to start.

"I really like turquoise and blue. So, I really like the white bedspread and white walls so maybe just add some beachy pictures and some turquoise and blue pillows and decorations?" I asked.
