The distant blaring of sirens awoke us from our sleep-like walking trance.

Simultaneously our sluggish pace drew to a halt as we shot each other confused  glanced.

Shaw was the first  to blurt out his thoughts, oblivious to the fact that none of cared about his opinion, "How come those things are still working? I thought the world had ended."

Kacy-Lee laughed, "Well naw ye cunt."

I sighed shaking my head at her attempt to make light of the situation, but I just wasn't really feeling it.

Fuck, it's like that one time...

>> I remember the night I came home, struggling to breathe through the tears. The void feeling filling my heart which replaced the (now-empty) love I had once felt so passionately.

Hell I barely knew the person but I fell head over heels.

It took me three months to get over the ordeal, but for those three months I felt empty, not sad just empty <<

It's the same feeling I have right now, I don't really have much hope for anything. I'm just surviving  for the sake of seeing if this now hellish world can be sorted out with my help.

Shaken from my thoughts by the sound of gunshot, I looked around to see the source of the conflict.

Yet again, Shaw had broken off from the group to try and sort out a stray biter but almost blew someone's face off trying.

It took a minute for me to process that the person, whose head had almost been blown into smithereens, had a face I didn't recognise, possibly due to fact she wore a mask covering her mouth with the words 'BTS' imprinted on black fabric.

From this distance I couldn't work out much about her, other than that she was about the same age as me, had long black hair and was wielding a menacing looking sword with spiked edges.

Something about her angered Lauren, as I could see her struggling not to run up to the girl and slit her throat.

The dark haired stranger noticed she was outnumbered and turned tail and fled from the situation to avoid further confrontation.

First to charge after her were Shaw and Josh, then Lauren, Kayleigh and Matt. I watched the rest of the group slowly trickle away after them, feeling conflicted I stayed glued to the spot. It was possible that this was a trap set by whoever had made Dixion Park their camp and, if it was a trap set for us, it definitely means they have Liliana. They must've known we were coming  and had the girl hide out in woods, pretend to be scared and then run off and lead us into a trap where more of her group were waiting ready to attack.

I glanced around at the three others standing around me before clearing my throat and screaming at the top of my lungs "STOP IT'S A TRAP!"

Realising that was hardly going to make much difference, I ran off in the same direction the others had went, hoping I could catch up. I passed by Dacian and three others, noticing their pace wasn't slowing at all. I shook my head at them, hoping that I had thought wrong about this whole thing being a trap.
