CHAPTER 6: I SEE YOUR POINT

I didn't leave my room for the rest of the night. Though I was calm, I knew London was out there with Alex. Demetri was monitoring them enough that I could rest easily while she was here. It made me laugh when he thought something along the lines like 'Ten-Four, copy. Commander come in, come in.' I fell off my bed twice. I was hysterically laughing, loud enough for my mum to hear, when she walked in my room.

"What the sam hell is wrong with you?" She asked sarcastically, "It sounded like you were choking."

I laughed some more, and she shook her head and walked out. I heard Demetri ask mum what the hell's wrong with me, and she told him I was hysterical. Laughing like a moron. He laughed at that, and his thoughts from then on were complacent. I knew tomorrow he would have a million questions, so I figured we'd would hop in the BMW and I'd take the kid to lunch. If anyone caught the gist of our conversation, they would think we've gone insane. It would look like that, a seventeen and fifteen year old talking about the girl being a witch. I can picture it now.

'Alex and London are going to her room, their all gooey. Watch out.' I heard Demetri think suddenly, he was concentrating hard on the television show before all this.

I stood up, and looked at the clock. One in the morning. I quickly walked out of my room, Alex and London were still scaling the stairs. Alex looked at me, 'Aw hell, I thought she was asleep. Shit!' she thought, and I tried not to laugh. I didn't succeed. "Its late, let me drive you home London." I said to her, and she nodded sheepishly. 'Ill fight her, I swear I will.' Alexis thought, and I rolled my eyes. "Don't try to fight me on this Alex, I'll win and you know it. Go to bed." I said to her, stopping her thoughts. She knew I was right so she gave London a quick kiss, and I got a murderous glare. I gave her angelic smile as I began cascading the stair case. Demetri was smiling at me. "Thanks." I said to him, and he nodded.

I walked out to my car with London behind me. "Why must you put me through hell, London." I said, more to myself, then to her.

But she answered me anyway. "I don't try to. I'm sorry for your troubles, though you really shouldn't be worrying about what your sister does. Shes not your responsibility."

London just crossed onto a dark path, in my mind. She was now on the 'them' side.

I stopped dead in my tracks and turned back to her. I cocked my head to one side and stared at her. "Excuse you? I shouldn't be worrying about my sister? She's not my responsibility? She is putting my mum through hell, and she doesn't care. Shes being a reckless bitch, and I'm supposed to let her carry on that way? No, I don't think so." I told her, my voice hard. She nodded, not wanting to make me any angrier.

"You're right, I know that. I shouldn't worry about it. Sorry." She apologized, but I knew she didn't mean it. Her thoughts were fighting against weather to slap me or just shut up. It seems to me that 'just shut up' won.

I turned back towards my car, and got in. She did the same. I drove to her house in silence, but the thoughts in her mind were just shouting at me. I turned the radio on. That drowned the murder's she'd been planning for me in her mind out. I smiled at the creativity she had, it was sick. Low and behold she didn't know, you can't kill a witch.

I dropped her off and drove home with the radio on. I arrived home to a sleeping house, so I locked the door behind me and slid to my room silent as a mouse. I told myself countless times that my sister won't sneak out, but I didn't trust myself. Just to be sure, I pulled out a spell book. It was dusty, old. Something I hadn't used in a while, I knew all the spells I needed, but not one for a physcopathic twin sister. I found one that lasted for the night. I cast the spell and went to bed, though I didn't need sleep. I would go insane if I sat up and listened to her dreams. It would be the vulgar slaughter of her sister, yet again.

When I woke up it was nine. My mother was at work, and as I guessed, London came to pick my sister up. Demetri woke up minutes after I got out of the shower. I smiled to myself as he thought 'Good morning my sister the witch.' I actually almost laughed, but it was true so I didn't. I got dressed in a little DC v-neck tee, Fox jeans and my purple vans. It would be a semi-cold day. When I was unplugging my iPhone from my computer, there was a knock at the door. I ran down the stairs, far too fast, because I knew far too well who it was. Andrea came back for me after all.

I saw Demetri coming for the door, "Its another witch. Go to your room and don't think about anything that will get you in trouble, you don't know I am a witch. Run." I told him, and he did. I blocked his and my mind, just in case, with a power that came in handy when anyone visited. I opened the door to the red-haired woman that wouldn't leave me alone. "Ah, my sweet Marilyn, its been so long since you have visited me." She said as I peered out the door.

"Yes, we've gone over this. I don't want anything to do with you. I would very much like it if you could leave me alone?" I said to her in a hard tone of voice. I hadn't said that to her before, but I thought of it.

"We have not gone over this, Marilyn. You have not told me this. But as you wish, I shall go and not return." She said, and I wanted to kick her. We both knew fair and well she would come back, we knew it only too well.

"That's all I want." I told her, and she frowned.

"I'm sorry to be of a pest Marilyn Marie, but why are you blocking that boy's mind?" She asked and I rolled my eyes.

"I don't want you rummaging through my family's head. He doesn't need to know that your reading his mind. I don't read it often myself." I told her, my voice too confident to know I was fibbing. "So I ask one thing of you, that is to leave the state. You need not return to see me, if you need something you can call. Good day to you, Andrea." I closed the door, knowing she wouldn't be back to pester me. She was scared of me, I was much more powerful then her and everyone in the realm knew it, all the witches and all the wizards. They didn't mess with me, I had more powers then spells.

"Dem, want to go to lunch?" I asked him as he sauntered out into the kitchen.

"Sure, but I do have some questions." He said, and I was right on the dot. I knew he would before he knew.

"I know. That's why I think we should go to lunch." I told him, he smiled. "You got that out of my head didn't you?" He said, and laughed.

I shook my head, "Nopee." I told him. "I decided that last night."

He laughed at me, and I rolled my eyes.

"Lets go."
