Thenews of Marian leaving Gisborne at the altar spread fast. While mostof Robin's men where in Notthingham to save the king Alan had otherintentions. He ran back to Locksley and to Gisborne's estate pullingLily into his arms. "Are you okay? I mean... I'm not being funnybut it's obvious you care for him. You are his only friend but hewill be angry. He wil make you suffer because Marian did this to him"
Hismute friend touched his chest before stepping away from him themoment her master came home. Alan had no way to escape and saw theman touching his sword. Lily must have seen it as well and steppedbetween them. The stupid woman could get hurt and he grabbed her handto pull her back. "Stand back, Gisborne! No one has to get hurt!Lily and I are friends and I'm here to make sure you won't hurt her!"
Againhe felt her hands on his chest and this time they were harder andpunching him. She shook her head and tried to protest.
"Howdare you think I could hurt her? She is safe here and she knows this.See... she doesn't want to stand with you" Gisborne grinned andstepped closer his sword ready to strike.
"Youlost Marian today! And we all know what you did when Lily was withRobin" Alan grinned for a moment but he soon stopped and had to bemore careful. He didn't like to see Gisborne grin and even more hehated when the Earl of Locksley pulled Lily away from him. "Hoodwill never have her again. She stays with me in her own room and havea home here. What could Hood and YOU give her instead"
"I'mher friend" Alan was angry but didn't want to scare Lily. Sheshouldn't be here to see a fight between two men she trusted. "Sendher inside and you will have your fight, but don't let her see this"
"What?"
Alansaw how Gisborne's face changed. He stopped grinning and instead helooked worried to the woman by his side. His voice lost his anger andinstead he lowered his sword. "Leave. Don't ever come back again oryou will have the fight you ask for... and it will be your last"
