He’s romantic alright. More romantic than James I have to say. Yeah I admit it’s cheesy. And I can hear backstabbing bitches gossiping about me that I just easily forgot about James the mongrel; that I’m the monster blah blah blah….their problem not mine. FYI that news is so yesterday, I mean so long time ago.

Back to reality shall we?

“Yeah. There’s no turning back.” I said in a soft tone.

He suddenly hugged me. I hugged him back of course; I don’t wanna make it look awkward. When that special event ended, and all the people went back to their own business, Riley volunteered to drive me home.

Duh, we’re in a relationship now and I guess that’s okay. James rarely does this kind of thing to me so it’s kind of something new. Feels like alien. Seems like this fish I caught is worth my pennies.

Riley stopped the car in front of our gate and he opened the car’s door for me. Aww…he’s being such a gentleman.

“Here you go.” He entwined his fingers with mine and he looked at me.

I looked away for a second and felt my heart beat. Oh-kay. What just happened?

I breathed in and clear that thought and looked back at Riley and smiled.

“Thank you for the roses.”

“Nah. You deserve them. Yeah….and my effort had its worth.”

I nodded.

“Good night.” He gave my forehead a quick kiss.

“You too.”

“See you tomorrow. I’ll just pick you up after breakfast.”

“Okay.”

I watched Riley drove off the road. We’ll be out on a date tomorrow? Good, this way I’ll get to know him better. I’ll a find a better reason to call the thing off after the ball.

Before I tuck myself to my bed, Amanda flooded my inbox with questions on what happened….if I’m still into the plan. The heck I’m still into the plan. My phone beeped.

What is Amanda gonna ask------oh it’s my reminder. I totally forgot tomorrow is my schedule to go visit the orphanage. Damn it! How could I forget such important thing?! I immediately texted Riley.

Me: Hey. Can we reschedule our date for tomorrow?

Riley: Why? Is there a problem? Are you sick?

Me: No. It’s just that I have an event planned out tomorrow. I’m sorry if I forgot to tell you.

Riley: We’ll go together. :)

Do I have to drag him? Wait, mom and dad is out for work the whole week and my older sister is out tomorrow for her charity event. So it’s gonna be me. Then it leaves me with no choice but to bring Riley with me.

Me: Okay. See you tomorrow.

Riley had a blast with the kids at the orphanage. Even me. I thought at first that he was the killjoy type of guy but he wasn’t.  He’s cute when he laughs. The kids even named him their elder brother. For one thing, Riley isn’t like my stupid ex. Riley’s down to earth. I think any girl will surely fall for him. He’s cool.

He and I dropped into his house for lunch. And his house is way bigger than mine. Shockingly the house seemed like….it was too quite. It’s like nobody’s living in the place.
