#8 :: Not Everything Is Shared

Things haven't been so great. I was so angry with my sister I wasn't going around there to visit her or the kids. Which was wrong of me because that's my sister. Yes, what she's done is wrong but that's her mess and her business.

Then I hadn't heard from Steph either; but I was tired of her being mad at me when I hadn't done nothing wrong! So it was her choice if she wanted to throw the friendship away at least I know I tried.

The only thing I was smiling about other than my business was Josh. This guy has really been there for me lately with everything that had been going on. It's him who even made me see my bad ways with how I was treating my sister.

He has even agreed to come to this dinner tonight that Reece wants me to come to with him and Sarah. He had the cheek to expect me to come on my own and wanted to frown when I said I was bringing Josh. But I had to let him know; I wasn't going to sit on my own whilst he stays there smooching over his wife. He claims he wants me to get to know Sarah so I said well I want him to get to know Josh! Seeing as he feels Josh is no good. This will prove to him it's all in his head.

"You ready?" Josh asks me as he enters my bedroom.

"Yep, how do I look?"

"Beautiful, I like when you wear your hair down." Josh says as he stays staring at me making me feel shy.

"Really? I'll be sure to take note of that." I said as I finished getting ready.

We decided to go to an Italian restaurant as we all agreed we liked either pasta or pizza. As we got there we noticed Reece and Sarah already sitting down.

"Heyyy.." I said as we approached the table.

"Wow! You look amazing!" Reece said to me.

"Oh in this little thing? Please." I said making us laugh.

"Please have a seat." Sarah said to us.

"Reece, Sarah.. This is Josh. Josh this is my best friend Reece and his Wife Sarah." I said.

"Nice to meet you." He said shaking Sarah's hand. As he went to shake Reece's hand he went for the bottle of wine to avoid them having to shake hands.

What was his problem?

"So.. Josh, Reece tells me you saved Tasha's life?" Sarah said.

"Well it wasn't on my to do list but I ended up doing so." He said making us laugh - not Reece of course.

"That must have been what made you two get together. He's your very own knight in shining armour." Sarah said.

"Actually. To begin with he just wanted to make sure I was okay. I found it sweet. I never saw this happening. But I'm glad it has because he does make me happy." I admitted.

"So have they found the person yet?" Reece asked changing the subject.

"No not yet." I said.

"Nothing to worry about though. I make sure she's okay every night. Plus it's only a matter of time before they catch him." Josh said.

I smiled. He made me feel safe. I really didn't worry when he was around.

"So Josh.. What do you do for a living?" Sarah asked.

It seemed only Sarah wanted to get to know Josh - Reece couldn't have cared less.

"I work for a security company that installs alarms, cameras, heavy duty locks, you name it we got it. It's to make companies and household owners feel safer about their properties. After the incident I made sure to make Tasha's house safe by installing the alarms, locks and cameras. Hey, if you don't already have I could come around see what you need and get them placed in your home." He suggested.
