"Wait, so you're saying that you're the ghost of Old Willows Lane haunted house?" Rowen asks me slowly.

"Yep!" I reply back quickly.

"So you mean to tell me, that 10 years age, on a cold October afternoon when I was 7, and I came in with a group of my school mate, that when I got locked in that coat closet for 2 hours, that was you?" she asks me, surprisingly calm.

"Ohh yeah, I remember that, yep that was me! Boy you should have seen your face! It was hilarious!!!" I say, laughing so hard at the memory, that tears of laughter come to my eyes.

I see the realization of what I just said dawn on her face, and it's hilarious! Or it was hilarious, until she turn into a demon of death.

"How could you to that to me!?" She tells at me, her face turning a nice scarlet red.

"What!? It was 10 years ago, and I only meant it as a joke!" I reply back, rather loudly.

"I was 7! I was absolutely petrified to go anywhere near that house until I was almost 15!" She says, punching and hitting me.

"Ouch! Stop it! That hurts!" I say, putting my arms up as I try to shield myself from the abuse.

"Say you're sorry! And then maybe I'll stop!" She says, sending a hard kick at my shins.

"Ok! Ok! I'm sorry!" I say as quickly as I can, hoping the rain of pain will stop soon.

"Hmpf!" She says, sticking her nose up in the air and turning on her heel to face away from me.

"Zeesh woman, it was only a joke" I says, feeling a little put off.

I see her body rise and fall as she takes in deep breaths of air. Finally, after what seems like an eternity, even though it was only a couple of minutes, Rowen finally turns around to face me.

"Come on, let's go" she says calmly, offering me a very small tight smile.

She starts to walk away, in the direction of the Willow Lane house, but I quickly grab a hold of her upper arm, stopping her in her tracks.

"Look, I'm sorry Rowen, I didn't mean to scare you that much, I was only playing around" I say softly.

"Can you please forgive me?" I ask, lifting her chin, so she'll look me in the eyes.

"Ok... I guess I forgive you" she says horsely.

"Thank you!" I says smiling brightly.

I don't even give it a second thought, I quickly wrap my arms around her, and give her a quick, but tight hug. She looks a little bit shocked at first, but quickly recovers. She starts to walk away again and I follow behind her, but I nearly run into her, when she stops abruptly. She turns to look at me, and I swallow hard at the look she's giving me.

"I may forgive you Max, but don't think you're off the hook that easily, I will be getting my revenge, I can promise you that" she says, with a smirk, and an evil glint in her eyes.

I nod my head in understanding, and wait for her to start walking again. Afraid that if I make the first move, she'll eat me alive.

The 20 minute walk to Old Willows Lane house was quite, and I'm still trying to decide if that's good or bad. Rowen stops on the porch next to the front door, her arms crossed over her chest as she's waits for me to catch up.
