Tyler felt a shot of pain go through him mentally as Josh pushed away from him. He was given a stern type of look as Josh pulled his hands back as well and crossed his arms.
"I'm out with a customer actually...so..I uh...I gotta get back to him. Sorry Tyler. " he mumbled and just like that his lips began to quiver slightly.
Tyler pursed his lips into a thin line as he breathed in deep and closed his eyes for a moment to contain his desire to snap. But then he reminded himself, he barely knew Josh. He barely knew anything about him. He didn't even know how full name. They were barely even aquaintancees. They didn't know each other at all. And yet here Tyler was feeling pissed off and a little hurt that he was pushed away.
"That's...lovely... have fun. I'd say I'd see you around. .but chances are I won't. Bye Josh. " he mumbled letting his boiling anger shimmer to disapointment.
Josh could see the change in tone and how tylers face changed. He'd expected an outburst, maybe to be ignored, or even slapped again. But even though Tyler was a stranger to him, it hurt to see him look so down after hearing the hope in his voice when he had first stopped him.
"I mean it...I'm sorry. I'll give you a call when my hours are done alright? Get some rest. You look tired." Josh murmured with a small smile trying to express that he cared.
"You don't have to call if you're busy.. I get it... just have yourself a good day Mr josh-? I don't even know your last name. I don't know where you live. I don't know when your birthday is. I don't know how old you are... we're complete strangers..don't act like you care..." Tyler muttered as his cab honked and the driver yelled that he was leaving if he didn't get it.
"You know what..maybe I act like I care because I do care. Life is shitty and it'd hard and it hurts but you don't have to have such a shitty attitude towards it. You don't have to live miserable. And you don't need to assume that every nice person around you is fake. Not everyone is going to leave yo-"
Josh was cut off as his customer yelled from behind him to hurry up and he glanced back before looking at Tyler. Slowly he noticed his wet cheeks. They sparkled a bit in the autumn sun. He reached out to wipe tylers cheek but he pushed his hand away.
"You don't know me...don't assume you know what you're talking about...everyone leaves..." Tyler whispered just ad his cab drove off without him.
Tyler stepped back a few times before he started to leave. He began walking down the street back towards his house, without his groceries or anything but a few tears and some running thoughts that would have him up the rest of the day and night. Josh slowly started backing away to his customers car to leave as well. But he couldn't take his eyes off of Tyler. He felt bad. Almost guilty.
"It's dun!" He shouted.
Tyler paused when he heard a yell from behind him.
"My last name is dun!"
Tyler wiped his cheeks and sniffled quietly as he slowly smiled and pulled his sleeves down over his hands to keep them warm.
"Mines Joseph! " Tyler yelled back seeing a look of annoyance on Joshs customers face.
Tyler began walking away again with a slight jog. He wanted to get home and curl up in blankets and relax. He wanted to be comfortable. But before he got too far he heard Josh shout, and he shouted back.
"Goodbye, Tyler Joseph! "
"Farwell, Josh dun!"
