"Do you think theres anything out there?" Louis asks
Harry nods, even though louis cant see him and begins to slowly sign above his head, trying to use worlds louis might know.
'maybe, the universe is vast and we don't know whats out there' He gestures to try and get louis to understand, but when he doesn't understand fully harry pulls out his phone to say it for him. Louis nods at this, and harry points to a constellation,
"See that one?" His phone says "Its Cassiopeia, she was a queen, and that one" it continues and harry points to another "is Orion, he was a hunter, a great archer in greek mythology"
"Thats really cool" Louis says in awe, and harrys hand inches along the ground to grasp one of louis fingers in two of his, unsure weather it was okay or not. After a minute louis hand moves so its fully covered by harry's and harry smiles lightly, sparrow huffing lightly by his side.
They were lying in a clearing full of tall grass, gazing up at the navy blue sky dotted with millions of twinkling lights, millions and millions of light years away. Harry was always dumbstruck by the thought that so many of the stars above them have been dead, burnt out for thousands of years.
Harry looks over to louis who's eyes are closed, his breathing deep and smiles at him. Shaking his shoulder lightly, harry wakes him.
"Bed" he signs and louis looks at him strangely
"Wha?" He asks, rubbing his eyes. Harry sits up and mimics sleeping and louis nods, sitting up as well.
"Lets get back to the tent, it is getting late" he says pulling out his phone he laughs
"The suns gonna rise in like three hours so yeah, its probably time to go to sleep"
Harry nods and yawns, getting to his feet and helping louis up as well. Louis watches as harry stretches, mesmerized by the way harrys body moves as he does so. Harry smiles at him when he relaxes and louis cant help but stepping closer and placing his hand on the side of harrys face.
Harrys eyes are wide, the starlight reflecting off of the mossy green iris, there was fear and hesitation in them, but there was also wonder and curiosity there too, staring back at louis who was so close.
"C-can i kiss you?" Louis whispers and after a moment harry nods and louis caressed harrys face softly, leaning in and pressing his lips softly to harry's. Sparrow begins to get nervous around harrys feet but harry holds a finger up to her and she settles as he melts into the kiss, his arms moving to rest tentatively on louis hips.
After a moment, louis pulls back and looks into harrys eyes, green meeting blue as they both smiles and head back to the tent.
Once they get there the realization of what they were doing finally sunk in and harry began to panic slightly. He had just met louis and now they were spending the night together deep in the woods?
He thought of this all while he crawled into the tent,and then into his sleeping bag. But when sparrow came and settled herself beside him his worries went away. Sparrow trusted louis, or at least she didnt not trust him, and even if something did happen she was there to protect him. Harry finally put his worry to rest when louis smiled at him from his own sleeping bag, then closed his eyes with a small
"Goodnight"
So harry closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep unaware of the creature slowly making its way into their camp.
When Harry woke up a few hours later it was to an ear splitting wail. He sat up and looked around, not seeing sparrow. Harrys heart filled with lead as he scrambled out of the tent only to see the strangest sight he's ever witnessed.
